Title: Intersecting Parallels

Summary: 300wd Drabble. Rose Tyler is abducted by Rose Tyler, sort of. What?

Warnings: None.

Rose Tyler was on a beach. This wasn't quite surprising, nor was it particularly alarming, even though she didn't recognize the sandy shoreline. After all, she figured an island the size of Great Britain must have quite a few beaches.

It was a little more surprising to find herself suddenly transported from her cozy bed at home to a windy, chilly seashore, but only a little. Rose was an adaptable sort of person, and to be honest, well, it had happened before. There was just something about her that screamed out Abduct Me! At least whomever had brought her here had the decency to dress her in a warm jacket and trousers. She didn't think she could save the world in her pajamas.

Viciously suppressing the memory of someone else saving the world in jim-jams and a blue robe, she decided to have a look around. Between the sand, rocks, and water, there wasn't anything to give her location away. There were no You Are Here signs to decipher, just an empty beach in the early morning hours.

"Would you look at us, persevering like good British citizens."

Sitting on a large boulder directly behind Rose was a woman who, at first glance, looked quite like a stranger. It took a moment for her to realize that the pink hoodie the girl wore was very familiar, indeed. Rose hadn't worn it in years, hadn't even seen it in so long it was a bit of a shock. Mouth gaping, Rose Marion Tyler stared at herself in speechlessness.

"Guess Mum was right, eh?" the girl grinned at her. "Strange woman on some alien planet, but she's not Rose Tyler anymore. It's funny, cos we thought that's what we wanted."

Past and present locked eyes, and somewhere a parallel universe was spawned.
