Sarah got in late from work, she had spent the past week working as head of security for SecNav, and it was exhausting, she toed her shoes off at the door and flicked the lights on, wondering why it was in darkness because Tony should be in by now, she went through to the bedroom and figured he must have stayed at his tonight. This was strange, she moved her hand feeling something under her back and pulled it out.
An Envelope addressed to her, in his handwriting, she smiled, she loved him so much.
She opened it, her eyes shining with love, she wanted his arms around her.
As she read each word, she sobbed, and her hear begun to shatter...
Dear Sarah,
I'm sorry that I have to write this to you, but I don't know any other way to do it because every time I see your face all I want to do is take you into my arms and protect you from the world, I love you so much, but everyone knows I'm not worthy of you, I'm not good enough for you. I have gone away for a while, I don't know when or if I will ever come back. You deserve so much better then what I can give you, you deserve someone who will treat you like a princess.

She clutched the letter to her chest and tried to call him, what the hell was he on about? He did treat her like a princess and she loved him more than anything and he was the only one that she ever saw herself with.
The phone had been disconnected, so she tried his cell and got the same response.
She sat with her friend the following day, "I don't understand it Matt, I mean everything was perfect"
Matt shrugged, "Maybe its because of what happened with the baby?" he offered, because it was not long ago that Tony and Sarah had lost their beautiful baby boy, and it had taken its toll on everyone.
Sarah's eyes filled with salty crystal tears and shook her head, "He would never do that Matt, he loves me and he doesn't think he is worth my love..he doubts himself...that has nothing to do with Eathan so don't dare bring our child into this!" she said and glared
Matt sighed, "It was my fault"
Sarah sighed, "No it wasn't, you barely knew him"
Matt bit his lip, "But if I hadn't have done what I did, then he wouldn't have done this"
The young Israeli looked shocked, "Please tell me your joking, please tell me what your talking about"
He sighed, "I said that he wasn't worth it, he treated you like crap and that you deserve better"
She looked shocked, and could barely breath, "You lied to him"
Matt shook his head, "No I didn't its the truth"
Sarah shook her head, "He is worth it, he treated me like a princess, and He is the one that deserves better..not me"
Matt sighed, "You never listen"
Sarah looked at him and looked down at her own engagement ring, "You took away the only man I ever loved, ever could see myself with, why?"
He took her hand, only to have her flinch away, "I love you"
Sarah slapped him, "I hate you" she turned away and walked away from him, going to her mother's arms, her body shaking with sobs, as she clung to her mother.
Matt left, with a look of defeat as Sarah tried to work out what to do, how could she find him and tell him the truth.
She needs him.
She loves him.
