In 2003, Hell burned Tokyo tonight. A massive saurian god was covered in red marks, signifying the volcanic power that was slowly killing him. In front of him stood a devil, much larger than him, and more sinister than any foe he ever faced in the past.

Godzilla recalled his life. The day he was born was the day his father died. He remembered hating the humans, knowing full well that they were the ones to kill him. In a year's time, he grew in full size. In 1955 he continued his father's legacy.

Throughout these 49 years, Godzilla faced many enemies, obtained a number of allies, and even learned to coexist with humanity. His friends, including Anguirus, Rodan, Gorosaurus, and Kumonga, were always by his side when he needed them. The humans at times allied themselves with him, using machines like Jet Jaguar and Moguera. He was as well watched over by a moth-like goddess named Mothra. The two of them both fought and teamed up multiple times. Sometimes others joked about how the two were like a married couple.

Then Godzilla remembered his enemies. The pollution horror Hedorah, the simple minded but fierce Megalon, the galactic assassin Gigan, and even the jumbo shrimp Ebirah. The Kamacuras attacked in groups, and giant condors were simply nuisances. Battra, the dark counterpart of Mothra, was formidable. The Mutos were an ancient couple that knew how to use teamwork to their advantage. Then he remembered his arch enemy, King Ghidorah. The many, glorious battles they had throughout the decades. He also remembered his "family": the swift Megaguirus, the power hungry Orga, the vigilante Biollante and especially the tyrannical Space-Godzilla. He even had dopplegangers made by humans and aliens alike, in the forms of "Mecha-Godzillas." So many enemies.

Finally, after 49 years, he was facing his ultimate enemy. The devil created from his father's murder. Destoroyah. This spawn of man's sins was much larger and even more powerful than him. His unholy smile sent shivers down the spines of both humans and Daikaiju alike. No one was able to best him, except Godzilla himself.

But Godzilla was dying.

Godzilla roared with ferocity and charged forward.
