CHAPTER 1

Shinji is carrying supplies along with Kinana and returning to the guildhall.

Just as it is in sight they notice Natsu and the others also approaching.

After being gone for 3 months to train for the Grand Magic Games they are glad to have them back.

"Welcome back everyone."Shinji greeted

"Hey fellas"Lucy replied,sounding exhausted.

Now looking at them,Shinji felt they all look very tired,except for Erza.

"Are you guys allright?"Kinana asked.

"Lets just say we had really tough training"Gray repied.

Shinji thought there is something else than training but does not ask further.

"Well,perfect timing because the Master is about to announce the team for the Games"Shinji told them.

Natsu lifted his head on hearing it."Really!Then we better hurry"he said excited and they walk faster towards the reaching the guild they see the Strauss siblings and the others arrive via another path.

Elfman looks towards Natsu's team and smirks"What happened to you guys.

Weren't you man enough to do a little training."

Natsu and Elfman start arguing and Shinji and Kinana excuse themselves to drop off supplies at the kitchen.

"I have a good feeling about this year's Games.

With the Tenrou team back we have good chance of winning this year."

"I think so too"Shinji replied,though sounding subdued.

"Is something wrong Shinji?"Kinana says on noticing this.

"Its just that Master Marakov had asked me to see him earlier today.I hope its nothing serious"

"I'm sure he just wants to chat,thats all"Kinana gives a reassuring smile.

He nods in response.

Shinji arrives at Master's office and Marakov invites him in.

"Good Afternoon Master."

"Hello Shinji my have you been doing?"

"I've been doing well master."

"Relax,you're not in trouble.

There is just a favour I want you to ask"

"Of course master.

What is it?"

"As you know we are going to compete in the Grand Magic Games.

Me and those I have chosen to compete had been stuck in Tenrou island for 7 years.

We don't know what the other guilds and mages have done to prepare for this and we need all the information we can I'm basically asking you is to act as our informer."

Shinji is surprised by masters request.

"But...why me?"

"Our mages will be seen as rivals by others and will be careful not to reveal their and magic and if they recognise you they will not be on guard and see you only as an will not expect you to be knowledgable about magic."

"Well...if you say so master."

"Don't worry.I will never ask you to do something dangerous.

You just have to keep eye on what other guilds are doing"

"All right master.I will do my best."

"Thank you my boy.

Now lets go and announce the team for the Grand Magic Games."

As the two leave the office,Shinji is contemplating how can he fulfil master's request.
