"Get it right!" Jasper yells at me when I notice that I made a miscalculation with fixing a broken distabalizor. "Mess up agian and I'll use the working one on you!" She growls and I wince, afraid.

"R-right! I won't mess up agian!" I squeak out.

"You'd better not," she hisses and walks off, presumably to go interrogate the Lazuli. I feel bad for the poor blue gem, but better her than me! I get back to working on the broken device. Jasper is a warrior gem. She has full permission to hurt me if she wants to. That's how Homeworld works. If you mess up, especially if you're as low ranking as I am, you get hurt, and if you get shattered in the process, you just get replaced. I finish fixing the device and I go to show it to Jasper. If I wait to show it to her, she might get me shattered as soon as we get back home. Epp.

"J-Jasper? I finished fixing the distabalizor!" I yell out.

"Good!" I hear Jasper and I jump, accidentally dropping the device. I wince as it shatters. Oh no.

"Ah! It was an accident, Jasper, I swear! I can fix it agian!" I start begging, but get cut of when one punch from her sends me flying into a wall.

"How can you be so worthless?!" She demands.

"It was an accident," I whisper as she stands above me. She grabs me and throws me at Lazuli's cell, knowing that it would hurt me more than simply throwing me at a wall. I don't try to get up. I don't try to fight back. I just let her slam me against Lazuli's cell until she gets sick of it. I can't fight back. Even with my limb inhancers I'm no match for Jasper. Besides, even if I do try to fight back, I'll just get shattered when I get back to Homeworld.

"Go check on the cluster," she says and walks away. I nod and go to do as I'm told. I was assigned to Jasper. I have to listen to her just like I have to listen to Yellow Diamond, but it's different when it's Yellow Diamond. My diamond has never hurt me. Jasper only knows violence. She's a warrior gem. I struggle to my feet. So I'd better do as I'm told or I'll get shattered.

Amethyst's point of veiw:

I wake up and listen to a weird sound. Someone's crying? I open my eyes to see that I'm not in my room, I'm in the bathroom? I find the source if the crying and remeber why. Paridot wanted to try sleeping and Pearl was scared that she might hurt herself if she fell asleep in my room because of the mess and her curiosity.

"Peri?" I whisper and touch her shoulder. She's still asleep. "Hey, Peridot, wake up! Peridot! Peridot, wake up! It's just a dream! It's ok! Wake up! Peri!" I yell until the small green gem sits up.

"Don't hurt me!" She shrieks and hides behind her arms.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Peri." I wrap my arms around her. "You had a nightmare, it's ok."

"Huh? Nightmare?" She questions, looking up at me.

"Yeah. That happens sometimes." She buries her face into my chest and I rub her back. "No one is going to hurt you."

"Right. I don't think that I will need to try this 'sleeping' thing ever agian," she whispers and I nod.

"Ok, but it's not usually like that. I think it's just cause we slept in the tub."

"I don't care. I will never do that again."

"Ok." I hear the door click closed. Someone was listening to us. They probably got worried when I was yelling at Peridot to wake up.
