The MANDATORY employee carnival is coming up, and Zach still doesn't have a date. Further more, he has to put up with Bren's other intern, Jackson, who is really obnoxious. Will Zach have to endure the horrors of the employee carnival single? T for safety

1. Chapter 1

Hot Air Balloon by: Locked-Up Lycan

**Set later in the show (season 4-5) Zach's still on and Goromogon never happened. **

"We wrote a prelude to our own fairy tale

and bought a parachute at a church rummage sale"

"…Taking?" Hodgins' voice shook me from my stupor caused by an Asian woman's 60-year old C4 Vertebra.

"Taking what?" I responded, not moving my focus away from the bone.

"Taking to the employee or as I like to call it, "squint", carnival. Their giving out awards to all the scientists." He accented "squint" with the common 'finger-quotes'

"I'm not going. See this discoloration? Could you get particulates off it?" I indicated a patch of dark specks on several of the vertebrae.

"Sure…It's mandatory. They're even making sure I personally go. and, dude, its no fun to go alone; trust me."

"I can go alone."

"No, I won't let you go through the horror of the employee carnival single."

"Why?"

"What are you going to do at a carnival for three hours before the award ceremony? We'll find someone for you, Zach. Look! Diatomaceous Earth!"

Agent booth entered the room. Trailing behind him were three people.

"Ahem! A few of you decided you could take another intern under your wing-" Dr. Brennan and I spoke at the same time:

"We do not have wings."

"Anyway, Please welcome: Genivi McGrant, Jackson Resti, and Weston Abbot!" Some people applauded. When Booth had finished, the trio disbanded. Jackson Resti walked toward us.

"Dr. Brennan?"

"That would be me. You must be Dr. Resti?" She made no attempt to stifle the displeasure in her voice

"Yeah, who's the tyke?" He swung a chair around and sat on it backwards.

"You must be referring to Dr. Addy. He, too, is studying Forensic Anthropology."

"Nice… So when's lunch?" Dr. Brennan and I exchanged meaningful eye contact.

Angela told us later that Genivi works with her, and Weston with Hodgins. The two were half-brother and sister. I could see the resemblance. Both had straight black hair, pale skin tones, and the possibilities of the same eye color was high, (but I don't know what eye color they share). Their features were different, though.
