Balcony Confession
"Duo,"
Duo looked up from his cup of ramen.
"Hai, Hee-chan?"
"I need to talk to you."
Duo's ears perked.
"Alrighty. Go on, shoot."
"I meant in private."
Duo's brow furrowed in confusion.
"...'Kay."
Heero led the American to a balcony of the Winner mansion. It was evening and the sun was casting purple shadows against the soft, pink clouds.
"What is it, Heero?"
Heero sighed.
"I have something to confess... I-I've been running from this feeling for so long, and telling my heart I didn't need it. Just pretending I was better off alone."
Heero stopped and let a small smile cross his lips.
"But I know that it's just a lie. I've been so afraid to take a chance. So afraid of what I feel inside."
"Hee-chan..."
Heero turned to face his braided companion.
"The truth is, Duo, I need to be next to you. I need to share every breath with you."
Duo stared into Heero's onyx eyes, his own violet eyes clouding with tears. Heero continued,
"I need to know I can see you smile each morning and look into your eyes each night, quite possibly, for the rest of my life."
Heero stopped, swallowed and continued with his confession.
"I just need to be here with you and near to you. It's just I need to be next to you."
Duo smiled and wiped away the tears welling up in his eyes.
"I might as well make my confessions also."
Heero was shocked. What had Duo been hiding?
"Heero, right here with you is right where I belong. I lose my mind if I can't see you. Basically, without you there's nothing in this life that would make life worth living for. I can't make it if you're not there. I can't fight what I feel any more. I... I love you, Heero Yuy."
Duo swayed forward to capture Heero's mouth with his own in a bruising kiss. Heero stiffened. He'd never been kissed before.
Duo felt Heero tense and broke the kiss.
"Relax." Duo purred.
The two pilots leaned forward and kissed once more, not stopping until they retreated to Heero's bed quarters and fell asleep in each others arms.

So? Wha d'ya think? It's my first songfic and the fist fanfic that I've finished ever. I'm quite proud of this. And i finished it in about 10 minutes! Don'cha think it's a sweet little song/fanfic?
