Well, I'm sorry, but I had to get this stupid little plot bunny out of my head. Now's it's out, so I can re-focus my attention on those other ones. Happy?

Dedication: To my mother, whom was the first one to read this story, and the first one to laugh. Happy Mother's Day!

Confusion

Muggle Studies

(Note)

Where did you find the answer to 12B, Hermione?

Page 487, Ron.

Oh, thanks…

That's Muggle London, though.

Stop looking at me funny!

Ron, you're looking at page 871.

Oh…right.

I thought we were looking at Surrey.

NO, Ron. We're investigating the wonders of Egypt.

I knew that.

Aha! 487! I found it!

I shall not even dignify that with an answer.

Transfiguration

(Note)

Erm…Hermione?

Yes?

I think I got the spell wrong…

Well, what has it done?

Er, you don't want to know.

Well, it's properly explained in your text book.

Is it?

Well, are you at least on the correct page this time?

Yes! 227! You can check for yourself.

Ron…we're not in History of Magic.

Well, I know that!

Then, by all means, please tell me what class we ARE in!

Care of Magical creatures, of course!

For Merlin's sake, Ronald! We're in Transfiguration!

Ohhhh. So that's why we're inside...

Hermione stomped furiously into the Great Hall at her lunch period. She couldn't believe how clueless Ron could be at times. It was infuriating.

As she briskly strode toward Gryffindor table, Ron looked up at her in between bites of mashed potato.

He swallowed and started, "Hey, Hermione –"

"What, Ron?" she burst, annoyed. "Do you need to know which one's the fork? Or perhaps you need to know which goes atop your potatoes, vinegar or gravy? Or perhaps you need help telling the Patil sisters APART!"

Ron cowered back in fear, his question evidentally forgotten.

Hermione turned on her heel and stalked back out of the Great Hall, her appetite forgotten and a great number of eyes watching her as she went.

She smiled smugly as she entered the Entrance Hall, glad to finally have that off her chest.

And as she turned to trot up the Grand staircase, she froze.

Which class did she have next?
