The Age of the Conches

byKasyblack

Summary: One small house elf makes a decision that shall turn th e world of the cannon upside down a few times and again…AU about the Malfoys and their slaves (the house elves, not any 'sexual toys or the things like DE prisoners'). Later may include some stupid ideas like time travel, the "babies mixing ritual" and Hermione's strange heritage… all the stupid bunch of the cliché or just plain dumb ideas I thought up… Maybe I'll even torture some Founders' ashes in order to please myself (eww, is it only me or that sounds a little too…ambiguous?).

Disclaimer: The day I'll own Harry Potter I'll be really Happy…Nah, The Evil Lawyers of moomy Ro shall never let me have it, unless I'll be reborn as our dear Lady…

It's a fun calling mommy Ro that way, cause it sounds just like my sis' short name. It would be a fun to have her as a sister or if my sister had thought up Potter first… Hmmm… a bit tooo much words… Don't own a thing. Don't sue. (sounds like some kind of the commandment, doesn't it?)

PROLOGUE…

It is so pitiful for a servant to hate his Master… It is difficult looking at him every day and wishing you could kill him, strangle him and yet to be unable to even curse him in your very thoughts. Pathetic slave, who cannot even be noticed… Poor invisible servant, bound to belong by your blood…

He always knew he had something inside of him the others never got – the wish to be free one day. He would die for such chance, but even that kind of freedom was not an option. The servant must not harm his master's property…

And the worst thing he experienced was the loneliness. He was the only one of them who accepted reality in the way it was. He was the only one of his kind who understood that being someone's property was wrong. The others considered it a great honor.

The ancient magic made him do whatever pleased his master, so there was nothing he could do about his state. Once he considered killing himself, it stopped him. He tried to do his job with the flaws, hoping it might cause them to let him go or at least to dispose of the useless worker. He should know better than to show his defiance that way. He should know better than to hope they would let go anyone who could possibly open some of their secrets. His master just enforced the magic of the contract which made him punish himself for the failures. It grew so strong he could not do a simple unintentional mistake without hurting himself afterwards. He could not do anything even to ease his suffering… the weakling… the slave

He despised the weakness he had due to his ancestors' stupidity. He knew that in the ways he was stronger that his masters. After all, he knew all magic he could make the other house elves teach him. And he knew that considering the feelings of superiority wizardkind had always shown it was quite easy to presume they made up no ways to defend themselves against the elven magic. Such a useful yet useless weapon… the power that could never be used against the ones he wanted…

But the ray of hope may always shine through the clouds of despair. There was one solution to his problems he managed to find. The wizards found the way to change their appearances and thoughts in a way to become a completely different creature. The ones who succeeded that were called 'animagus'. To get away from the curse boiling in his blood he already being the magical creature had to become the 'humagus'
