My name is Jadelyn August West. I hate parades, rainbows, the number nine... I especially hate guys who bite their lower lip when the dance, it looks so dumb! Needles to say, I hate a lot of stuff. But if there's one thing really I love, it's Caterina Nicole Valentine. That's right, sweet little Cat. Usually people who are that perky annoy the chizz out of me, but everything about her is just too perfect. Her silky smooth skin, red velvet hair, and those big brown eyes... I swear, I literally don't know a single person at Hollywood Arts who doesn't melt every time they see her. She's just so cute anー
"HAI JADEY!" I hear Cat yell cheerily as she bounces over to me in those silly Jupiter boots of hers, "What'chya writing?" She asks. I didn't even realize my journal was still open wide on my lap as the bouncy redhead sat against the lockers with me. I closed the notebook as quickly as possible, fumbling over my own fingers, trying to hide my true feelings within the pages.
"I-it's nothing Cat, just... Nothing"
Sometimes I wish I could just tell her, tell her I love her... Tell her I mean it. But I know she'd think I was crazy. I know she wouldn't understand. Besides, she just broke up with Danny, it'd be total insensitive to try to move in on her now! Ugh! Such conflicting emotions!
"Umm, kk..." She says, looking very confused. Next thing I knew the bell rang at break was over. Cat's next class was Science and mine was English. I stood up, got book and turned to look at Cat.
"See you at lunch." I say awkwardly.
"Kk!" She says excitedly as I start to walk away. "Oh, and Jade?"
"Yeah?" I ask, turning to look at the perky redhead.
"I like you too." She says with a wink as she bounces off to class.
