Prologue
The one shot echoed through the ship and the crew stood still trying to ascertain where the noise came from. ''INARA'' Mal yelled out and all he got was a shaky breath that started him running to the shuttle that belonged to Inara. Then the chaos begun. Inara lay there in a pool of her own blood gasping for air looking at the ceiling as pale as a sheet. Shivering. Above her was Aferton wing about to shoot her in the head. Then there was a whistle in the air and a knife went into Aferton's arm and he started clutching it like a madman. Jayne stood there grinning. 'can I torture him please' Jayne begged. ''No!'' Mal replied while calling Simon while gripping Inara's hand like a vice as she whimpered.''ENOUGH''yelled Inara Mal looked at Inara and shot him .He slumped to the ground in a yelled ''NO FAIR'' Simon rushed down the hall with his medical kit in his boxers and a half put on shirt followed by Kaylee in her obviously rushed overalls and slipping tank top flushed in the face and breathing hard.
