Chapter 1: Pirates Aground
A girl wearing a fluttering cloak over most of her body and face, except for her mouth, was running blindly in a panic. "Somebody help me!" She screamed in a quivering voice.
"Get back here!" A man yelled as a group of bandits chased after the frightened girl.
"Stay away!!!" She screamed with a sob in her voice. She was running blindly, trying to escape so she didn't notice a tree root sticking up from the ground. "Aah!" She tripped and landed on her hands and knees.
Her palms were scraped and they began to bleed along with her knees. She was able to herself up using the tree as support. By the time she was back on her feet, the bandits had caught up with her. "Finally got ya." The leader said and walked over to panting girl. "Give back what you stole from us."
"No." She said stubbornly.
"C'mon, we ain't gonna hurt ya. How 'bout show us yer pretty face and give us our gold back, then we'll leave ya be." He started to reach for her cloak but she pulled back. "We just wanna see yer pretty face." (Suuuuuuurrre)
"No. Please, I'm very shy." She said in an innocent voice. She clutched her cloak tightly, while ignoring the pain in her hands.
He ignored her and came closer. She smiled cunningly and threw off her cloak. She pointed a hand gun at his head. She had her long purple hair down with a bandana on her head. "What the f?!?!" He shouted and recoiled.
"That's called acting, pal!" She shot him straight between the eyes and he fell back dead.
Seeing their leader drop dead apparently struck a nerve among the bandits. They charged at her with their axes and knifes, shouting, "Yer dead!"
"Heads up, Chief!" One of the girl's men shouted. He was hiding in a tree near her and he threw down a sword.
She did a small salute with her index and middle finger on her forehead when she caught it. "Thanks much." She put her gun in the holster and slashed many near by bandits. She slashed off one guy's arm next to her hand another guy's leg. "Don't worry; they do wonders with prosthetics these days." She stabbed many guys in the chest and decapitated others. "You might wanna wrap that in ice." She did a hand stand and spun in a circle while kicking the bandits. "Did it ever occur to you, 'I'm getting my ass kicked here.'?"
"You think we should help?" One of the girl's men asked.
"Nah, Lee has it all under control." Another guy answered.
"No, I mean should we help those bandits? I don't think even they deserve this."
Hours of bloodshed later…
"Damn, they don't have anything good on them." Forde said. Forde's one of the top generals in Lee's crew. He's had a monster crush on Lee ever since he joined her vigilante group. "I can't believe we went through all that trouble for nothing, right Lee?" No answer. "Lee?" He looked around but she wasn't there. "Where'd she go?"
Meanwhile…
"Quite a catch, I was goin' for gold but wait till Ike sees her." One man said. He had short, spiked, brown hair and a scar over his left eye. He had knocked out Lee and he was carrying her over his shoulder.
Lee's unconscious figure stirred a bit. "We'd better hurry and get back to the ship before she wakes up, Sakon." A younger boy said when he noticed Lee.
"No need to worry, Magoichi. If she wakes up, I'll just knock her out again." Sakon said while clenching his fist to prove his point.
A drop of sweat rolled down Magoichi's cheek and his blond hair was standing on end. "I dunno, she looked pretty tough. You might not be able to knock her out again." He said with a quivering voice.
"Your negativity is the reason why you're still cleaning the decks. If you were a little more positive, then maybe you'd get to do somethin' else for a change." Sakon said while he shook his head in disappointment.
"At least I don't look like a monkey." Magoichi muttered under his breath.
"What was that!?" Sakon asked crossly, his face mere inches away from Magoichi's.
"Nothing." Magoichi said with a quivering voice. He started sweating in fear; after all, Sakon was much bigger than him and could surely beat him to a pulp.
He snorted and continued to walk ahead. As they walked farther, the trees thinned, the forest exit was ahead. When they passed through it, they found themselves at the town port where the ship was docked. "What took you guys so long!?" A gray haired man shouted from afar. "Y'all have been gone for hours! Ike's ready to leave, he's gonna be pissed!"
"Not after he sees what I got him, Keiji. Look!" Sakon turned so Keiji could have a better view of Lee.
Keiji looked at Lee's slumped figure. "Who is she?"
"We heard someone call her Lee. Must be short for Leanne or somethin'." Sakon said as Keiji examined Lee.
"Nice haul, guys. I bet Ike'll even forgive you for the time you mistook him for a sea monster and chased him around with a harpoon." Keiji said, still eying Lee.
"That was an accident! I drank too much that nigh!" Sakon said defensively.
"He's probably not gonna forgive for that." Magoichi said.
"Do you always have to be so negative!?" Sakon asked angrily. He could easily intimidate Magoichi because their body masses greatly differed. Sakon was very brawny and muscular, Magoichi, however, was not. He had more average muscle dexterity. (Whimp)
"Stop fighting! Let's get her to the ship before Ike decides to leave without us!" Keiji said, making a good point.
