Jimmy Olsen asks for Clark's help orchestrating a proposal to Chloe.
I don't own Jimmy. In fact, I think DC bought everything Superman related out... or no one owns Jimmy. I'd LIKE to own Jimmy. But I don't.
I don't own Clark either. But I don't really want him. Unless he and Jimmy came as a pair...
"C.K. We're friends right?"
He looked at him as though he wasn't thinking straight. "Um… yeah."
"Great" he replied, seeming somewhat relieved. "So I can count on you for help right?"
Clark heaved a sigh. "What is it Jimmy?"
"It's…"
"Chloe?"
"Dang, you're good."
"Yeah," Clark couldn't help but smile "I've heard that before."
"OK…well the thing is I wanted to…"
"Propose to her right?"
Jimmy Olsen was dumbfounded. "How do you keep doing that?"
Clark shrugged. "I don't know. I guess after the scare of the last year… Chloe's powers and everything…"
"Yeah… And it's not too sudden right? Technically we have known each other since internship over three years ago." He was wearing his usual broad 'Jimmy Olsen' smile. Jimmy never had much to hide. In fact, Clark was surprised that Jimmy didn't quote the exact day that they met. He was sure Jimmy probably had it marked permanently inside his head.
"I don't think it's too sudden at all" Clark said. "But Chloe on the other hand…"
The color in Jimmy Olsen's face drained. Clark laughed. "Relax, relax… I'm sure it will all be fine. What did you have in mind?"
Jimmy switched back to his enthusiastic demeanor. "Well with your journalistic skills and my…"
"Feelings for Chloe?"
"Yeah." Jimmy said, giving Clark a bizarre look. "I just thought that we could cook up something that would blow her away… It's… cool right?"
Clark nodded. "Yeah, of course. You know Chloe and me… just friends. I'm happy with you guys together."
"Good. Good. Well I can make time on Thursday, Tuesday and Saturday."
"Um, ok?"
Jimmy went to pat him on the back. "Thanks C.K."
"No problem" Clark replied a little too late, as Jimmy had already left. "No problem at all." He reassured himself.
