"Sonny, Sonny, Sonny." Chad drawled, as he sauntered into the Prop House -a hang out for the gang of the hit TV series, So Random.

I sighed. I really didn't need him distracting me right now.

"Chad, Chad, Chad. What do you want? I really need to start working on this sketch." I said, getting up off of the couch, in order to make sure he wouldn't be inclined to sit down also and get comfortable.

"Well, I don't want anything, but Mr. Condor's baby-sitter came down with the flu, and he has summoned us to his mansion for the evening." He said, plopping down on the couch anyway, seemingly oblivious to my wishes. Well, he stole my couch; and if I'm going to have to talk to him, I might as well have fun with it.

"Wait," I said, feigning surprise, "Mr. Condor needs a baby-sitter?"

"Noo!" Chad was funny when he was mad. "His brat daughter Dakota."

"Who's that again?" Gosh, do I love playing with his rather small brain.

"Sonny!" His ears were turning red now.

"Okay, okay. Don't get your panites in a wad."

"I'm a boxer kind of guy."

"Sure you are."

"So anyway." He said, drawing out the word nice and long, changing the subject smoothly, "We are stuck baby-sitting Dakota for the night."

I groaned. "I don't wanna!" I said, plopping down on the couch next to him. What the heck.

"I know, me neither. I had a book signing to go to tonight." He complained, taking advantage of our sitting position and stealthily putting his arm around my shoulder.

I was distracted for a moment, trying to picture Chad writing anything.

"You wrote a book?" I said, aghast. Turning to look at him, I was suddenly and uncomfortably aware of the lack of distance between our faces.

"Well, you know. I.. uh…" he stuttered, his voice growing higher with every syllable, "…..Had one written?"

"That's cool" I said, mentally doing cannonballs into his beautiful eyes that were pools of beauty, and paying no attention to what was escaping my lips.

We were definitely close now. No doubt about it. This was undeniably a more-than-friends position. He was staring at my lips. Inching closer. I didn't know if I was ready, but I kinda wanted it to happen.

"Sooooooooooooooooooo!' Came an interruption in the form of Zora, our youngest cast member.

We both jumped off the couch embarrassed, although nothing had happened.

"Well goodbye Chad!" I said, placing my hands on the square of his back and pushing him to the exit.

"Wha-?" Was all he could get out, before I slammed the door in his face.

I looked guiltily back at Zora, who wiggled her eyebrows at me.

I tried to go for the mature approach by not saying anything, and instead sticking out my tongue.

This was going to be a long night.
