Title: Dearest.
Summary: She was his dearest and now she was all his. In sickness and in health. Nothing could stop them from being together now. Except for the divorce papers lying on the table. Chuck\Blair. ONESHOT. Fluff.
Authors Note: OK. First of all, this isn't angst. Which is weird because that's what I usually write, anyway this is set after the five year flash forward. This is more of a drabble then a one shot and was written up fairly quickly and is pretty short.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, as always.
IN A CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA IN THE SKY
The lights dazzled like diamonds. Gowns swished against the marble floor. Silver clinked against glass. Swishing and swaying. She was his dearest and now she was all his. In sickness and in health. He laughed as she whispered something in his ear. He threw his head back, a carefree grin over his face. They were unstoppable. He tucked a stray curl behind her ear and placed a kiss on her cheek. Nothing could stop them from being together now. Except for the divorce papers lying on the table.
"Do you remember when Henry drew up those divorce papers?" Blair asked, a laugh escaping her lips. Chuck nodded, grinning. They both laughed at the memory as they swayed in time too the music.
"Dan and Serena's divorce really messed with him," Chuck stated. Blair nods her head in agreement.
"Do you remember what he said too us?" She asks her husband.
"I got divorce papers for you so you don't have too wait months like Auntie S had too," They both said in unison, Blair lays her head on Chuck's shoulder and sighs in contentment.
"He was so confused when we explained too him that we weren't ever getting a divorce." Chuck muses, stroking Blair's hair. She closes her eyes and nods her head against his shoulder.
"I miss him." Blair suddenly says, pulling away from her husband.
"I know," He whispers, "So do I." Henry was now eight years old and as a special school trip for the "big kids" - both Blair and Chuck rolled their eyes at the teacher when they were explaining this - they got to go on a camp for three nights and four days. Henry had stayed away from them before, the longest they had been away from him was exactly eleven hours and they were the ones that had too rescue him from Serena and Nate's house before they became sick with worry.
"He's coming home tomorrow." Chuck smiled at this. Blair quickly checked the time on her phone and sighed.
"We need too get going home, Audrey will be wondering where we are and I already miss her." Blair admitted.
"Me too," Chuck sighs, slipping a hand around his wife's waist and leading her out of whatever society event they had been present at.
