Chapter One "The Invasion Begins"

"This is not good!" exclaimed a teacher. And good it was not. For the past couple of minutes, some of the staff that was not working or teaching at the moment, were watching the small TV set in the teacher's lounge that used to display the Martian Ambassador talking to the House of Congress in their unknown Martian language, but now displayed a more gruesome site: the Martian Ambassador, and several other Martians were now zapping everyone in sight, reducing the poor people into sickening, red or green skeletons.

"Neither is that," Ms. Pillsbury said in her soft voice, pointing to the window. The teachers turned their heads to window. They could make out what looked like three revolving saucer-like objects in the distance, heading right for Lima.

"Those are the Martians' flying saucers, Emma, and no, that is not good at all," Mr. Shue said, "WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?" he screamed. Figgins shrugged. "Let me think of all of the drills I've been taught: lockdown…..fire drill…..chemical drill…..severe weather…earthquake. I haven't been taught about the "Martians are Invading" drill!" "Well we got to warn the kids!" exclaimed a teacher. "Like they'll believe that Martians are invading!" Sue sneered. "Don't you think they would have heard about the Martians on the news?" Mr. Shue asked. "They are teenagers! They were probably passed out drunk before the news came on," said Sue.

…...

Meanwhile, at the library of Dalton Academy, Blaine and Kurt were reading studying for their history test that was next period, when all of a sudden, Kurt heard something.

"Do you hear that?" he asked. "What?" Blaine asked. "It sounds like a humming noise." "I hear it to!" Blaine exclaimed. Kurt looked out the window. His eyes widened with horror. Blaine turned around to see what was the matter.

Hovering thirty feet in the air, was a silver flying saucer.

Before either boy could do anything, a green beam of light shot right out of the saucer and hit the wall of the library. There was a huge explosion. Dust, cement, bricks, books, shelves, papers, tables, chairs, and computers went flying everywhere.

"Blaine?" Kurt called out amidst the smoke and dust. "K-k-k-Kurt?" a broken voice called out. When the smoke cleared, he saw Blaine lying on the floor on the other side of what used to be the library. He then saw what was probably an alien or something in a green spacesuit and a helmet that covered a ghastly skeletal face and a giant brain. The thing was carrying a red laser gun.

Kurt thought that, amidst the dust and smoke, the thing would most likely not see him, which will give him enough time to get to his beloved Blaine and to get out with him.

So, acting on his actions, Kurt ran across the ruble filled room, and to Blaine. Kurt grabbed Blaine's hand and said:

"I got you, Blaine."

ZZZAAAAPPPP!

Blaine opened his eyes, happy to know that his boy friend was there to rescue him. But instead of seeing Kurt's cute face smiling at him, he saw a more ghastly sight: laying right in front of him, with it's head looking right at him, and hand holding Blaine's hand, was a grisly, red skeleton that had smoke emanating from it. "Kurt?" Blaine gasped. He then passed out from shock.
