A.N. Hello! Ready to begin? Yes? Okay! Just a quick note: Perspectives and locations will change with every chapter in the beginning.

Disclaimer: Well, I don't own Pokémon.

The skies in the Oblivia Region were generally peaceful. Sure, you had the occasional territory battle between Pokémon, and there was the big migration that took place every year, and the Sky Fortress sitting in the middle of the sky after that big battle with the Pinchers last year, but other than that, no aerial-related conflicts ever really aroused in Obilvia.

But the aforementioned Pinchers were far from extinct.

The occasional grunt who hadn't gotten the word that the Pinchers had disbanded would show up, causing havoc, but they would be stopped quickly by the Area Rangers, Ben, Rand, and Summer.

However, this chapter isn't about Rangers, or wayward Pincher grunts.

No, the focus of this chapter is about an ex-Pincher Admin, who was currently flying through the Oblivia sky, intent on meeting one of her old teammates, and in her case, her older brother.

This ex-Pincher was named Lyssa, or Green Eyes, if you want to get technical.

And, as said before, she was flying through the sky on her trusty Pidgeot, towards the smallest island in the Oblivia Region- Tiliuke Island, which was about as big as Rand's house and half Booker's house combined.

It was also uninhabited, which made it the perfect spot for two people to meet without interruption.

Lyssa leaned left on her Pidgeot, steering her through the thick clouds around Mt. Layluda, one of the most dangerous places in the Oblivia region. They weren't very far from their destination, thankfully.

The green-eyed Pincher looked down towards the ocean, then gave a shout of delight when she saw the tiny island.

"Pidgeot!" Lyssa yelled, steering her Pokémon into a dive. "Tiliuke Island is down there! C'mon, let's speed it up!"

Pidgeot tilted down as it dove towards the small island. When they were about to land, Lyssa jumped off of her Pokémon and landed neatly on the stone surface of the island, Pidgeot following soon after.

Lyssa looked around the deserted island, and straightened the green tie she wore over a white tank top, all of which was worn under a green jacket. "Aw, he's still not here yet? And we sped up so we wouldn't be late!" She kicked a small stone in frustration. "Of course, I shouldn't be surprised."

"Pidge, pidg." Pidgeot agreed, nuzzling up to the Pincher.

"Eh, I suppose we just wait." Lyssa muttered, tugging at the green ribbons she wore in her blonde hair. "And hopefully, not for very long."

The two were waiting for some time, until Pidgeot looked up at the sky and gave a shrill cry.

"What's up?" Lyssa exclaimed, springing into a standing position. "Someone's here?"

The Admin looked up and saw a figure swooping through the clouds, doing loops and figure eights. An aggravated groan escaped her lips as Lyssa watched the figure fly ostentatiously down towards the island. "Look who finally decided to show up, Pidgeot..."

As the figure got closer, it was revealed to be a young man flying on a cherry-red flying machine, which sort of had the build of a UFO. The man and the UFO came in for a landing quickly, creating a stir of dust and small pebbles upon their arrival.

"About time you got here!" Lyssa yelled, lowering her arm that she had used to shield her eyes from the dust.

The blonde-haired man walked away from his machine and over to the annoyed girl and her Pokémon.

"We can't all have super-fast Pidgeots, Lyssa," he drawled, giving Pidgeot a pat on the head. "No wonder you two got here faster."

"Red Eyes, you came in like you were trying out for the circus!" the younger Pincher retaliated.

Red Eyes merely shrugged and brushed some dust from his red and orange tank top. "Well, are you going to tell me what you've called me all the way out here for?"

Lyssa unzipped the small black belt bag that she kept strapped around her waist, and pulled out a folded up piece of paper. "This."

"You've called me here for a piece of paper?" Red Eyes asked, completely unimpressed.

"Not just any piece of paper!" Lyssa laughed, unfolding it.

The paper was a small poster for a place called...

"Baliar Island." Red Eyes remarked. "You're still not making this any clearer, Lyssa."

The younger pincher sighed and began to read from the colorful poster.

"Baliar Island is a new battling place for accomplished Trainers with at least 8 Gym Badges. However, battles aren't the only thing that Baliar Island has to offer. It is also equipped with-"

"Hurry up and make your point already!" Red Eyes ordered.

Lyssa glared at her older brother over the poster, but complied nonetheless. "Tryouts for Contest Stars, and Gym Leaders begin in two weeks. There are 18 openings for Gym Leaders (one for each type, including the newly discovered Fairy), and an unset amount of openings for Contests Stars. Tryouts will be held in Unova, at the PWT in Driftveil City."

"You're still not making any sense," the red pincher sighed. "Just explain it, will you?"

"Baka!" Lyssa cried. "We can try out as Gym Leaders!"

"Lyssa, this is one of your crazier ideas." Red Eyes responded, sitting down on the stone-laden ground. "Why would we do that?"

"Because it would be fun!" the green pincher laughed, sitting down as well. "C'mon, big brother! Can we please do this?"

Red Eyes shook his head, his blonde hair flying around his head. "We're Pinchers, Lyssa, not Pokémon Trainers."

"But we trained like Pokémon Trainers!" Lyssa argued, clenching her hands. "And besides, you have a team of Fire Pokémon! And I've got a team of Flying Pokémon! All we'd have to do is-"

"Lyssa, my answer is no." Red Eyes interrupted, straightening his Control Gauntlet. "All the other people will be much better than we are."

"Can we at least try?"

"No." Red Eyes snapped, standing up. He walked back towards his flying machine and pushed the ignition button. "This meeting is over."

Lyssa looked over at Pidgeot in panic. "What do we do?"

Pidgeot smirked and gestured towards Red Eyes with her red and beige wing.

"Oh..." Lyssa cackled. "I see what you're saying."

"Pi, pidg."

"Bye, Lyssa!" Red Eyes yelled, hovering off the ground.

"Don't move that Z.Z. Flyer!" Lyssa cried, running over to him. "I know why you won't do it!"

"Really." Red Eyes sighed. "Why won't I?"

"'Cause you're scared, Baka!"

A sudden spark seemed to go off in Red Eyes' head. Was she really going to?

"Ha!" Lyssa laughed. "I can tell by the look on your face! You are scared to go up against other fire trainers, I just know it!"

Red Eyes' hand tightened around the joystick of his Z.Z. Flyer. His finger hovered dangerously close to the "Fire" button.

If he pushed that button, a barrage of Plasma Balls, fired straight from his Plasma Cannon, would go shooting at his little sister and her Pokémon.

"You're attacking my pride, aren't you?" Red Eyes asked, trying his best to keep his temper in check.

"Well, nothing escapes you, huh?" his sister grinned. "But don't beat around the bush! I know that you're scared! You're especially scared to loose after what the Rangers-"

"ENOUGH!" Red Eyes roared, nearly pressing the "Fire" button. "Alright, Lyssa! Alright! You win! We'll do the tryouts!"

"Yeah!" Lyssa cheered. "I knew you'd say yes!"

Red Eyes shook his head. "That's only because you set my pride under fire."

"Well, it worked, didn't it?"

"Yeah..."

Update: 3/27/15 Pretty much rewrote the whole chapter! Anyway, bai for now!
