A Walk To Remember
A poem by: PeachyKeen13
Disclaimer: I don't own "A Walk to Remember"
Your hair flows down past your shoulders, your eyes twinkle in the light
For a moment, just a moment, the world is set to rights.
We forget about our troubles, we forget about the pain
We may not live forever, but forever is today.
And as your father places your soft hand gently in my own,
You know you won't have to spend forever in your room all alone.
I promised I would stay, and I have just for you
But for no one else would I make this sacrifice, for no one else would I say
"I do."
You came when you had no strength to make my dreams come true
All to say the eternal words that begin with "I love you."
We are in love, and though we will part, it will not be forever
For when you walked to me from down the aisle
It was truly a walk to remember.
