Turtle Replacement
Chapter 1
Marinette walked in the direction of her home, it was dark, stars twinkling above, objects shining in the moonlight...
Marinette was literally exhausted, she had just been to the ice rink with Alya, Nino and Nora.
Earlier in the evening, she had gone with Alya and Nino to see the World Cup fireworks on the ferris wheel at the Place de la Concorde Ferris wheel. Unfortunately, all did not go well as Nora was akkumatised into Anansi, a spider monster and Ladybug and Chat Noir had taken care of the situation along with Carapace.
Marinette was glad that Nino got a chance to be Carapace, he deserved it and he did a good job protecting Alya.
She sighed as reached the bakery, she was going to have a light dinner and sleep, but there is patrol tonight as well ! she thought as she opened the door of the bakery and went upstairs, her parents had already laid the dinner.
She ate and went to her room, after relaxing for a bit, she transformed into Ladybug and set off to the Eiffel Tower.
Chat Noir was already there and to her surprise, there were reporters bombarding him with questions about Carapace.
"Will he be fighting with you two and Rena Rogue ?", asked one of the reporters.
"Yeah I guess so, he seems to be really good and we can depend on him", said Chat Noir.
"Are you going to be best friends with him ?", asked one more reporter.
"Yeah", said Chat Noir.
Soon some of the reporters turned to Ladybug and asked her questions about Carapace, to which she replied cheerfully.
Suddenly one of the reporters asked Chat Noir, "Is Ladybug going to replace you with Carapace ?"
Another reporter asked, "Is it possible that Ladybug likes Carapace ?"
Chat Noir's smile seemed to disappear with every question pertaining Carapace and Ladybug.
Ladybug stood in disbelief. How can they ?
The reporters went on asking Chat Noir questions but he stood still unable to give an answer.
He looked at Ladybug, the strands of her hair were highlighted by the moonlight, her heaven-like blue eyes shone so brightly. She looks so beautiful tonight !
Earlier that day Ladybug had told him that he was irreplaceable. But he felt so hurt on hearing these questions, his heart began to ache more and more.
"There could be a turtle replacement soon, after all sidekicks get replaced now and then", said a reporter.
This statement pricked Chat Noir's heart like a thorn, the thought of His Lady choosing Carapace over him was unbearable.
Ladybug looked at Chat Noir and saw small tears being formed at the corner of his eyes.
She clenched her fist. How rude can these reporters be ? She was boiling with anger.
