Hey, guys! I had this idea today and decided to write it down.

Hope you enjoy! I don't own anything you recognize.

Sirius sighed as he scanned the library again.

"Where is she?", he asked. James, Peter, Raina, and himself were going to study for the O.W.L's together, but Raina hadn't shown up.

"Professor McGonagall needed to see her", Peter whispered, casting a nervous look towards Madam Pince.

James raised his eyebrows at his best friend.

"I'm sure she's on her way. It's not like Moony to miss a study session."

Then, as if on cue, the door to the library opened, revealing Raina and the Ravenclaw Prefect. They were whispering about something.

"There she is", James said, waving to her. Raina smiled and waved back.

Sirius stared at the Ravenclaw boy. He whispered something in Raina's ear and she giggled.

She said goodbye to him and sat down with her friends.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. McGonagall needed me."

They all shook their heads.

"Why were you with him?", Sirius asked.

Raina gave him a confused look.

"I ran into him on my way here", she replied. "He was coming to meet his friends."

Sirius was silent as Peter began to ask Raina a question about Defense Against the Dark Arts.

"...and the hinkypunks don't", she finished. "Did that help?"

Peter nodded. "Yeah, thanks."

"You could have asked me, you know", James elbowed him.

"She explains things better than you can", Peter shrugged.

Raina laughed and got a sharp look from the librarian.

"I don't suppose you two need my help?", Raina asked sarcastically, looking between James and Sirius.

Sirius was silent.

James shook his head. "No, I think we're alright."

Raina looked at Sirius, opened her mouth, then closed it.

"Fine. I'll see you guys later, then."

She stood up and left.

James kicked Sirius under the table.

"Ow, bloody...what?"

"What's your problem?", James asked.

"Nothing", Sirius told him. James raised his eyebrows at him.

"The last time you Raina stopped talking was the", he lowered his voice, "the whomping willow incident."

James knew he was toeing the line by mentioning that night.

Sirius sighed. "I'll go talk to her."

He grabbed his bag and left.

Raina was sitting on a staircase in a corridor with Lily Evans, one of her best friends (and only girlfriend).

Raina didn't usually talk about the boys to Lily, as her friend wasn't too fond of them, but this time, she needed to tell someone.

"I just don't know what his problem is…"

Lily was playing with Raina's thin hair; she stopped and looked at her friend, biting her lip.

It was obvious to Lily what Black's problem was, but did Raina want to hear it?

"I don't know", Lily said. "Boys are stupid."

Raina snorted, but said nothing.

Sirius found Raina with Evans on the staircase.

Both girls looked up at him; one with a glare, and the other with an expectant look.

"Can I talk to you?", Sirius asked, looking directly at Raina, who nodded.

"I'll see you later, Raini", Lily said, standing up and walking away.

Lily stopped next to Sirius and whispered,

"If you hurt her, I'll hex your arm off."

Then she was gone.

Sirius sat down next to Raina.

"I'm sorry."

"What was your problem?", she asked, turning to face him.

Sirius paused. What was his problem?

"I don't know. I haven't been in a good mood today, and I took it out on you. I'm so sorry."

Raina smiled. "It's alright. You put up with me when I'm upset. It's what we're here for, right?"

Sirius nodded, unable to stop looking into her eyes.

"I'm gonna go to dinner, see you guys there?"

Sirius nodded and stood up with her.

He stared at Raina as she walked away.

Could it be…?

No. There's no way.

Sirius shook the thought from his head and hurried back to the library to get his friends.

Thanks for reading! I had a lot of fun writing this one-shot.
