Frasier and Niles walked down a dark Seattle street, it was late and they were walking back to Frasiers appartment after a late dinner party for a celebrated poet. They'd had a good night but it was a long night and they were both pretty tired

''You know Niles if you just want to stay over at mine you can'', Frasier said.

''Well it is getting late'', he thought for a while, ''I think I will, if it's no bother'' Niles replied.

''Of course it's no bother, Niles, it'll just be like the old days'', Frasier said with a slight smile at the end.

''Well I don't know about that'', Niles laughed,''Talking about the old days, do you ever miss them?''.

''I don't know, I suppose they had there good points, I mean we used to spend an awful lot more time with each other, which was good'', Frasier smiled to himself,''But since I moved back here we spend even more time together, which I suppose I like more. So to answer your question, no, I don't suppose I really miss them as all the best bits are here now, except Mom of course, which is maybe a reason to want to go back, but I have you and Dad and Daphne and Roz to get me by'', Frasier looked down then he turned his head, still walking, to face Niles. ''Do you miss them?''.

''Simple answer...no'', Niles said non-plussed, ''I mean of course I miss Mom everyday but I was in an unhappy marriage and we weren't that close when you were in Boston and I didn't really like that, plus without you I wouldn't see Dad half as much as I do now''.

''I'm happy I moved back you know because if I didn't I'd miss out on this'' Frasier said putting his arm around his brother.
