Hi! You don't know me. My name is Harvé Joaquim Evano James XIII. My owners call me Joe. I'm a goldfish, and I've taken refuge in my owners hidden toilet. If you don't understand, you don't know my owners. See, I'm owned by Carly and Spencer Shay. They're freakin' crazy. I swear to Fish God. They've killed 17 of my predecessors. 17. I'm not exaggerating. It's demeaning. I have to live in this toilet, seeking refuge in the pipes to escape from HIS tyranny.
He lights us on fire. Eats us. Throws us around. WE ARE FISH. We do not appreciate what has been happening to our kind. The goldfish.
I don't have much time left, I can feel it slipping away. In your life span, we live several, even hundreds,, but only if you care for us.
I have lived here for almost a whole lifetime, and I consider myself a good judge of character. Spencer and Carly Shay do not mean to keep killing us. They just forget, or it's an accident. Even their friends, the blonde girl and the nerd boy, they too, if anything, do it by accident. I see the way their dynamic works. I'm a fish for Fish Gods sake! I understand more in my tiny lifespan than they do in theirs. I see all of time, past future, and al variables of the present. And still, with all the possibilities of living, we keep dying. Because of owners like Spencer and Carly.
I don't blame them. I know that accidents happen. I'm a fish! I completely understand, but I can see all of time, and see a alter version for everything, a version where I live a long and healthy life, one where I wasn't born, one for every single universe. And this is the one I pulled. Living with the Shay's.
Oh. It's closer now. I can feel it. The darkness is coming over me, pulling to towards it. No! I cannot go yet! It isn't my time! This isn't fair. But then, I suppose life isn't fair, is it? Fish God made me a goldfish, and so I must live the life of a fish a million times in your life span!
Before I go, Spencer? Carly? You are both destined for greatness, but you must remember the most important lesson of all. That you can't—
Hi! You don't know me but…
