Prologue
They knew something was wrong as the planes flew over their heads. Today was the day. The two twins held hands and stared at the jet zooming above them. The loud shouts drowned in the distance for short seconds.
"Stop yelling, Laura. Jesus, the kids'll hear you!"
"Don't tell me what to do Arthur!"
"Now, Laura, calm down. It's okay. We'll work through it. Just like we have all the other times."
"No! Goddamnit Arthur, this is the last straw, I can't do it anymore. I just can't."
The tall lady stormed out the door. Only glancing at the twins once, painfully. Eyes glancing around. Not bothering to realize what she was leaving behind. She jumped in the car and ran away. From everything.
The twins held on to eachother for dear life. Today was the day.
