Dancing In The Rain

Draco and Hermione were down by the lake leaning against a tree, Hermione lying down eyes closed on Draco's lap as he played with her soft brown curls. There was silence and stillness around them as the wind blew past their faces and blew against the trees making them look alive as their branches swayed to the cool air.

The sky seemed clear of clouds for a moment before it went dark and heaven's tears had started pouring onto their sweet faces.

"Hermione, I think it's time we get back. It's starting to rain" Draco slightly nudged Hermione whilst still stroking her hair. Hermione opened eyes. Her chocolate coloured eyes met with gray and blue ones.

"Huh?" she murmured.

"It's raining" he said again smiling at her beautiful face. Once she rose up from his lap, he helped himself up and took Hermione by the arm as she was still sitting on the now cold surface of the earth.

"Wait, Draco. Don't you like the rain? You know we could still stay here. Who cares if it's raining? It's only water." She explained to him.

"But we'll catch a cold and I don't want you to get sick since I love you so much." He smiled at her again in a soft and caring manner.

"Oh, Draco, you love me. That is the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me" Hermione replied and returned his smile.

"Come on" Hermione got up and faced him. She slid her hand trough his soft but hard ones and placed her other hand on his shoulder. The rain had started getting heavier and turned sliver in colour. Now they looked like a meteor shower that melted as soon as they hit something solid.

The couple's faces were soaked as well as head to toe acted like there was nothing falling from heaven.

"Okay, now put your right hand on my waist. There you go. Now we can begin". Before Draco could speak, Hermione had started swaying against the hard droplets of water and moved slowly as they looked deeply into each other's eyes never looking away.

Draco moved closer to Hermione and whispered to her "I love you Hermione Jean Granger and I want to spend the rest of my life with you and grow old with you, love you for eternity."

"Draco…" she whispered "I love you too".

They hugged each other closer and continued on swaying. Then Draco pulled back and touched his lovely and red lips to her plump and pink ones. Hermione moaned at his touch but didn't stop. He grazed his tongue over her lips and licked her tongue with his.

He held her face in his hands but still continued dancing. He could taste the rain water in her mouth which made him smile.

His soft lips.

Her plump ones.

Swaying with each other the way the two swayed themselves quite synchronised. They kissed the other with such passion and want that they never let each other leave their sight.

The rain kept on pouring from the sky and Draco and Hermione stopped kissing and danced through like there was no tomorrow.

60 years later, the couple lay in bed hugging each other close. Their old and wrinkled faces still smiling through their sleep as the moonlight leaked through the window on the left and shone on their in love and still beautiful faces.

"I love you, Hermione" Draco whispered to Hermione in his full, raspy voice.

"I love you too Draco" Hermione replied back.

The couple took their one last breath before they fell into a deep sleep that of which they would never wake up from and the room was silent all around as Draco and Hermione completed their vows from the lake and they lay still together, eyes closed with a soft and gentle smile on their faces forever embedded.
