Summary:spike loves buffy. but she could never love him back.
He loved her. He loved her with every single moment he existed, with the entire of his being. But he knew. Knew she was using him. Every single time she came to him, he almost cried, knowing she would never be able to love him, never feel how he did. She was destroying him. Eating away at everything he had, starting with his heart. His still, unbeating heart that felt more than anyone alive could ever know. He wanted to hold her. Wanted to have that comfortable silence with her in his arms, in his embrace, for that one moment he knew could contain eternity. But he knew she would never love him. With that thought, he plunged the stake into his heart.
