Mai POV
"Mai!" As I heard my name I look up from where I was and turn to look at the speeding truck heading straight for me. I stared in shock before I was grabbed by big yet gentle hands that were wrapped around on body. I black out when I saw the speeding truck hit me. I had one of those dreams with Gene in it. I was embarrassed at first when I found out it wasn't Naru. How was I to know he had a twin brother! As he got closer and closer he stopped in front of me and lend a hand, which I took. He helped me up and when I was about to thank him I notice a scared expression on his face.
"Gene? Are you ok?" I asked
He grabbed both my shoulders and told me "Mai, you need to wake up. Now"
I stared at him confuses. "Why?
"Please Mai! Wake up!" When he yelled I was soon covered in blackness and heard sirens.
I open my eyes and tried to get up, but I couldn't. I look to whatever was keeping me down only to see something I wish I never seen.
Right next to me was the man that broke my heart 2 years ago with his arms around me that held me potently against him. I star at his face seeing blood on him. I turn my head to look only to feel pain but I manage to look around a little to see what happen. There was the truck that hit me next to us with blood on it. I look at the ground. Lots of blood. Them my eyes go back to the man. The man I loved when I first saw him. His handsome future. His smile. The nickname I gave him. The one who always ordered me around. The man I made tea for. The one who broke my heart 2 years ago.
"Naru...?" Right there next to me laid Naru covered in blood. Not moving.
I called his name again
"Naru.." In a whisper
Nothing
"Naru." I said a little louder
Still nothing
"Naru!" I said loud
...Nothing
That's when everything came back to me. I wasn't the one who got hit. It was Naru. He was the one that called my name to warn me. But I couldn't move since I was in shook. Naru was the one who held me close as he took the hit of the speeding truck.
My eyes started getting teary.
"Naru!" I screamed as tears flood down my checks as I got out of his protection and kneel next to him trying to think. I was in pain but that all vanish when I saw him. I stared wide eyed at him. I put my head on his chest. I was a bit shaky but I knew the man I loved was dead. More tears came down my face as I screamed his name.
I'm sorry ok.
