Dear Writers,
I admit, this is no fictional story, but a story (well, kind of) about an enthusiastic reader, who wants to give a tribute to all these talented, amazing and warm-hearted writers out here in the Han/Leia fandom.
Lately I have found myself lacking time to follow and read and review your wonderful work out here, like you deserve it. I hope, everybody understands, there are times, when RL can be exhausting and demanding. But I want you to know, I am still reading and enjoying your work, even if I am not able to do it on a regular basis right now.
You are a colorful group of incredibly gifted and skilled writers and you are the true heart and soul of the fandom. When TFA brought me back to my childhood obsession about Star Wars almost two years ago, this site gave me a place to have fun, to read incredibly thoughtful and wonderful stories, it gave me a place, which gave me courage to comment on stories and I also have found a place filled with super nice, perceptive and sharp minded writers, who kindly respond on comments and started to chat with me.
The quality of your writing is absolutely high ranking and the love and care and empathy your are putting into your work cannot be admired enough. Also I appreciate the variety of stories which are published here and how each of them is impregnated with the personality of its writer and and an undying love for Han/Leia. All of you have gotten deeply under the skins of Han and Leia and your profound knowledge and analysis of the characters is stunning and inspiring.
Being part of this fandom and gotten accepted despite being no writer, gives me many good feelings and turned this place into some kind of a safe place, a haven and a beacon for me.
So, this is huge and massive and loud THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you, who are putting so much efforts and heart blood into your stories. This goes to every one of you, whom I know already, but also to writers like LASOS, Srellet, AmyGoddess, GoldenJedi, Zyra M., RileyOlsen, TamoraSky and MusicalScars97. I feel bad, I have not yet given a comment on their work, but their stories are wonderful and I enjoy them a lot.
Also, I guess, I have not yet commented enough on the work of inelegantprose and JustAFlick, who are both gifted writers and who write with so much intense emotions.
Same (having not yet commented enough) goes for knitzkampf and Cicatric - every single story they have written is a brilliant masterpiece and cannot be praised enough.
I also would like to give a special thank you to dantsolo, who is such a creative and inspiring writer - I really miss you and your writing.
If I were able to, I would give something back to all of you by writing a one-shot about Han and Leia on their way to Bespin or about them having gotten grey and old and thoroughly happy together. Because I am not able to do so, please take this as my grateful and admiring tribute to all of you. I truly appreciate and love your work and also the way you treat the characters, but also treat each other and your readers with love, care and respect.
You are giving me so much fun and joy - thank you so much !
