Musings of a Reaper

This would be my first attempt at a Fanfic for Dead like Me. Please it was just a quick thing I put down on my lunch but if anything could be made better let me know.

Ok here I am sitting crowded in a booth at a waffle house and the people crowding me are my friends; if you want to call them that after all I am dead. Mason's bugging Daisy about something I don't care to pay attention too. Roxie sits in beside me and shifts pushing me more into Rube who was listening to his music as he eats his breakfast. I just sit there picking at my muffin, so board that I assign animals to my colleagues.

Daisy would have to be the highly spoiled poodle, always dolled up and drawing attention to her self, if not with her looks with her voice as she is always talking. With Mason it was a tad bit tougher but in the end he came out with the mutt. Looked the part most of the time too, plus just looking at him made you want to give him a swift kick in the ass and in the end take him home with you. Great Roxie shifts some more and I get closer to my boss Rube who I will leave for last because Roxie just became a rottweiler as I glare at her. Why a rottweiler? Could it be the fact that she was always ready for a fight? Or just because she could be as mean as one. Either way she was there for us.

Everyone's finishing up and looking to Rube for our post-its and I can't give him an animal, nothing suits him as he opens the old brown planner handing out the yellow death sheets. The Rottweiler gets hers and leaves putting change down for her coffee, next the mutt gets his and he takes off leaving a few dollars short. The poodle takes her post-its in her purse and leaves more then her share to cover Mason. Suddenly alone with him he hands me mine and I get it. An oak! Sure it's not an animal but it works. Strong and tall with everyone always looking to him for leadership and guidance and that's when he calls me it. "Ok peanut off you go." That's when I wish I had an axe to take to him.

Yeah that's it. Just a quick little something now if you like it tell me and I just might write more.
