Chapter 1: Creation
In the beginning there was only darkness.
And in that darkness, unknown to it's Creator, there lay a Being. Too small at the time to be of any significance, but it could think. It could grow.
Long before the creation of Man, thought was this Being's only companion. Madness soon became a companion as well, once the loneliness of the Being's existence became apparent. Many eons past before there was light, far too long to save this Being from it's need for the darkness it was born in. After the creation of light, the creation of actual time and space, the creation of stars and planets, the creation of the Earth, the creation of water, the creation of life; they all seemed to come in quick succession. Too fast for the Being who had lived in maddening solitude for so long.
This Being, who had been present since the beginning of creation itself, who was privy to facts about the universe that humanity could never even begin to understand, who was already ancient before the creation of light, was frightened. Frightened to the point of doing something drastic. Frightened to the point of forced hibernation, the very essence of cowardice. This Being, almost a God in the ever changing standards of Man, a Being with knowledge of Creation, a Being with an intimate connection with essentially everything, reduced to a quivering mass of unknown cowardice and potential.
It would be many eons before this Being….This Unknown, would awaken from its self-imposed hibernation. Awaken into an even more frightening and confusing reality, filled with creatures and technology unfamiliar to it's admittedly vast remembrance. This cowardly Being unwittingly from one overwhelming reality, into an even more overwhelming reality. Filled with confrontational creatures of almost every conceivable shape and size. There are no more infinitely blank spaces in which this Being can stew in it's own lonely insanity.
This Unknown would awaken from it's slumber.
Alone and lonely in a world over-saturated with humans and animals alike.
The Unknown would remain like this until his consciousness was discovered, interestingly enough, by a small human girl. It was a by mere happenstance that these lonely beings came into contact, and it was by mere happenstance that they became connected.
...But that's a long ways from now, right now the Being begins his long forced slumber.
This Being's dreams were filled with visions of flowing auburn hair, tanned skin, and a pair of innocent hazel eyes. Eyes that reflected both excitement and an ever present loneliness that called out to It.
These dreams were only occasionally interrupted by visions of the world the Unknown chose to hide itself from, even in this state of hibernation It couldn't completely escape from the reason for It's cowardice.
It's only solace for many, many, many years to come would be the reoccuring dreams of lonely hazel eyes.
