This Oneshot is for astronauts' Love at First Sight/First Kiss Challenge. I decided to pick Tonks, and wrote about how she meets Remus. However, that part is very short in the story. But "Love at First Sight" needs only one sight, doesn't it?

Thanks to Alexic ( .net/u/2605177/ ) for betaing. I think she did it great.

And thank you for reading. I hope you'll enjoy.

A Warm Smile

Mad-Eye Moody came to me in the summer of '95. He told me that You-Know-Who had returned. He told me about the group Dumbledore had founded during the first Wizarding War. He asked me to join them, and I did. He said he would contact me as soon as they found a place for headquarters. He returned two weeks later with Dumbledore.

"Nymphadora-"

"Don't call me that," I interrupted before he could continue. He ignored me.

"We've found a place. We've laid a Fidelius on it, and Albus here's the secret keeper." He paused and fixed his eye on my. I didn't know what he expected me to do, so I nodded.

Dumbledore said "Miss Tonks, before I'll tell you, I first need to be sure that you know what you are agreeing to do. Being part of the Order of the Phoenix means that you are in danger constantly. Many of us died the last time Voldemort was in power, and this will be no different. You must keep the Order a secret, for the good of everyone."

"I'm an Auror; I'm used to being in danger." I smiled. I knew everything would be more dangerous since You-Know-Who returned, for everyone, so why shouldn't I accept this and do something good? I felt honoured that Mad-Eye had asked for me to join them.

"So, the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix are located at 12 Grimmauld Place."

"Wait... 12 Grimmauld Place? In London?" I interjected confused. "Isn't that the Black's House?"

"It is." Dumbledore said.

"Then how could we use it as headquarters? I thought it belonged to Sirius Black.

"It does."

"He can tell you on his own; we need to hurry." Mad-Eye interrupted any longer explanations. "The first meeting starts in five minutes."

We Apparated to Grimmauld Place. I had never been there before, because my mother had been kicked out of the family when she'd married dad, but she had told me about it. It was just as I had expected it to be. We went to the door and it opened with a knock of Dumbledore's wand.

The entrance hall was dark. There was a lamp, but it didn't shed very much light. The walls were brown, the carpet on the floor was black. And there was dirt everywhere. No one had lived here for years.

I started to follow Mad-Eye and Dumbledore across the room, but I stumbled over something that felt like a giant foot. I nearly hit the floor when someone grabbed my arm. I looked up and saw a very amused young face, and a very similar one behind him.

"Thank you." I said and looked for the evil thing that had made me fall. Then I focused on my rescuer again.

"Wotcher. I'm Tonks."

"Fred Weasley."he said.

"Nymphadora!" Mad-Eye shouted.

"Don't call me that," I answered again, smirking at the twins. I hurried to the door which led to the kitchen, where many people were sitting.

"Let me introduce you," Mad-Eye said, announcing many names I wouldn't ever manage to remember, but I tried hard. "..and Remus Lupin." He pointed to a man across the room as he finished. The man was shabby; his clothes were frayed and old, his hair and his eyes were brown, and there were scars all over his face.

But he had a warm smile. I could feel myself blushing and I smiled back. I would remember this name, I thought: Remus Lupin.
