It's just a short little drabble that popped into my head. It's definitely not the first thing I've written, but the first time I've really posted. If you can't guess, this is set in the Lima Bean while Blaine waits for Kurt at the end of season 2. Just a teeny spoiler for that last episode of season 2, if you haven't seen it. Enjoy! xx

A little bit on edge, Blaine slid back into his chair with his second cup of coffee in hand. He discretely smelled the steam rising from the non-fat mocha- not a usual order for him- and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly while he remembered the time he first tasted the coffee on Kurt's tongue. It was a little ridiculous; the fact the Blaine had ordered his boyfriend's guilty pleasure drink instead of his own typical order. He didn't even like mocha all that much, anyway. But no one needed to know that, right?

Kurt had been gone for the last week or so, leaving Blaine to deal with only his crazy Warbler friends for company while his boyfriend has off having the time of his life in New York City. Blaine would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of Kurt at all. Don't get him wrong, Blaine was extremely proud of his older boyfriend. It was just that he had really wanted to make it to Nationals as well. The Warblers had been working a long time for such an opportunity, and maybe Blaine was just a sore loser, a tad bit envious of his friends off gallivanting throughout the city. But he was also so glad the Kurt was finally getting to do something he always wanted. If his boyfriend ever asked him to go to the city with Kurt, Blaine would say yes in a heartbeat.

The boy gently sipped at his drink, deciding that it must have cooled down by-nope. It burnt his lounge when it reached his lips. Grumbling slightly, he picked up his half eaten biscotti and nibbled on the end.

He was beginning to get a bit anxious. Blaine had wanted to meet Kurt at the airport, probably at the risk of Blaine seeing him in a less than perfect state, said he'd meet him a few hours later at the Lima Bean. The Warbler knew they hadn't one, but Kurt said there was so much more to the story, that he would have to just tell Blaine in person. It had been too long, and Blaine wasn't sure how long he could wait…

After minutes that dragged on like days, the bell on the door of the shop made its little tinkling sound. And if anyone had asked Blaine right then, he would have declared it the most amazing sound he'd ever heard. Before he could stand up to greet the gorgeous boy coming his way, Kurt's lips were on his own within a split second of seeing his boyfriend's face. And when Blaine joyously kissed back, he could have sworn that he recognized the taste of a good medium drip coffee…
