The cemetery was empty. As empty as her soul. Her heart beat faster by every step she took. The way to the grave felt like an eternity. Her head was full of thoughts and yet so empty at the same time. She was wondering what she would answer if someone would ask how she feels. She didn't even know how she felt. All she knew was that she needed this. She needed to come to her grave. Allison's grave. The grave of her best friend. She had to. She felt like she lose her mind since she's gone. The whole Banshee thing was never easy. But she lost a part of her self when she literally felt her death. It's not just that she lost her best friend. It's like she lost her sister. They had a history. You have been through so much together. She felt as if she had it her guilty. To show her that she didn't forgot her. That she never could. That she still thinks about her. So often. That she misses her so much. That she's still her best friend. And that she still loves her.
Lydia finally reached the grave. She looked down. A while. It took a few minutes until she looked to the grave. And her eyes filled directly filled with tears. She stared at the font on the grave. For minutes. She wasn't here since the funeral. It was too hard. The nightmares tormented her almost every night. It's every time the same. She hears herself screaming. And she feels her death. Over and over again. But now she was here. The tears run slowly down her face. She didn't knew what to do. Or to say. She held a white pairs of gloves. She laid them down. ' I found them yesterday ... ' she began. ' Remember when we were for the first time together in the forest and you gave me your bow to hold ? ' You can literally hear the pain in her voice. ' I... I never told you but when I saw you with the bow I was kind of jealous of your independence. ' Lydia said with a weak voice. ' You seemed so strong... You were so strong ! ' as she said this, her voice went stronger. She cried but she knew Allison would be strong. That made her stronger. She continued staring with tears filled eyes on the font. She didn't even noticed how long she stood there. Just staring. Thinking. She had some flashbacks. But the first time, they weren't bad ones. Not about losing her. About sharing happiness with her. When they were at the mall together. When they spent nights calling and talking about Scott or Isaac. When they both were happy. These kind of moments she saw in her flashbacks. And out of all sudden, there was the first time a little smile on her lips. The first time it was true. A true smile. Not because she had to smile because all the people say that she can not be sad forever. She smiled because she wanted to.
