Author's note: I have a really bad (good?) habit of reposting my fics whenever I find something wrong with them. Therefore, this was rewritten and reposted, just like my only other Jeyna story.

This was inspired by the flawless fic by somerdaye, Exception. This story was written for the one and only, JasparRules, who reviewed my other story just to piss off (excuse the profanity) Jeyna fans like myself. Have a wonderful day to you, too!

Disclaimer: No.

Piper is pretty, smart, and everything he could ever want, so he tries to convince himself that everything feels right. That there isn't a nagging feeling in his chest telling him to pull away from the girl kissing him right now.

Pull away.

His brain is telling him to stay; his memories are telling him that this is all he's wanted.

He doesn't quite believe himself.

Pull away, the voice says.

The feel of her lips on his is foreign.

Pull away.

Unfamiliar.

Pull away.

He wants to stop.

Pull away.

But his hands stay glued around her waist.

Pull away.

She lets go first, and he feels guilty when he sees her smiling.

"Jason?" The girl asks, her voice soft.

"Yes?" He answers.

She opens her mouth to speak, but the image in front of him changes.

Her pretty, kaleidoscope eyes that never cease to amaze him, turn piercing dark.

Her choppy, uneven, chocolate brown hair is now glossy black, in a single braid that seems to go on forever.

Her dark skin suddenly has the letters SPQR branded on her arm with four bar lines and a crossed sword and torch. It almost matches his.

Her tattered jeans and white tank top are replaced with a regal purple toga decorated with medals over her golden armor.

A different girl stands in front of him now.

"I love you," she says.

Her voice is strict and leading, like she's informing him of their latest battle strategy rather than confessing her love to him.

It's familiar.

It's Reyna.

End note: I apologize for this mess of a fanfic. Not so happy with how this turned out. Comments?
