Matt's Choice

This is based on a story I found in the English End-of-course Field Test. While I took the test, I found this so incredibly funny I thought I was going to make a lot of noise. (At least it wasn't like when I wrote a TAAS essay about how the self-titled Ben Folds Five CD represented America.) This is a parody. I'm trying to remember as much as I can.

Please picture everyone shirtless, in overalls, with straw hats and a love for bluegrass music.

The wind blew very hard that night, rattling the old wooden fence like dominoes. The next morning the fence was in disrepair. It needed to be fixed.
"I'll help you fix the fence, Tai," said Matt. Matt and Tai began to work on the fence that morning until Tai went into town. Then Matt fixed the fence by himself. He took a short break when he found that he had only finished a small part of the fence.
It was midday when Matt remembered that he was going to go to Sora's house that night on a date. He went inside to call Sora. He really wanted to go on this date, but he was supposed to fix the fence. He decided he should not go on this date, and told Sora he had to fix the fence first.
By the end of the day Matt finished the fence. Tai came home with a large plasic shopping bag. Tai looked at the fence and grinned. "I bought something for the two of us that has something to do with fences," said Tai. Matt looked in the bag and smiled. Tai had bought something that was remotely like a fence.
Tai was proud of Matt. This gave Matt a feeling of satisfaction. This feeling was one that no date with Sora could give him.

The original characters in "Matt's Choice" were Matt, Pa, and Juan. Pa brought home a horse.

I'll give you a hint: It has nothing to do with horses and it's like a fence!
