Well Pretty much, I got bored, and decided to write a oneshot of what I think would've been so sweet to see in Lorelai? Lorelai?

Disclaimer: I don't own Gilmore girls… they finally made me admit it…

And I will always love you…

Lorelai just finished singing her song and exited the stage everyone clapped including Luke. He was shocked. He couldn't believe…or at least he hoped…that Lorelai sang that. Something inside of him told him it was meant for his ears but his reason always kicked in and said There's no way.

The next thing Luke knew he was on stage with a mic. in his hand and Ms. Patty on the side of the stage giving him the thumbs up sign. He didn't even know how he got up there he had been so lost in his own thoughts. Apparently Ms. Patty and Babette had drug him into this. Not wanting to look like a punk he sucked it up and just sung. The words started to come down the screen and he knew this was not going to be an easy song to sing because he recognized it right away.

I think you can do much better than me
After all the lies that I made you believe
Guilt kicks in and I start to see
The edge of the bed
Where your nightgown used to be

Luke looked out into the crowd to find Lorelai, and he did. She was biting her lip fighting tears. Luke decided to put his heart into this song to let her know how he really felt.


I told myself I won't miss you
But I remember
What it feels like beside you
I really miss your hair in my face
And the way your innocence tastes
And I think you should know this
You deserve much better than me

Luke looked back out to Lorelai after he sung the chorus and he saw that she was letting her tears fall freely now. She caught his glance and put a hand to her mouth and ran out of the room as fast as she could.

Luke dropped the microphone and ran after her. Once outside her saw her walking down the sidewalk extra fast, Luke chased after her, something he should've done a long time ago. When he finally caught up to her he spun her around causing her jump.

"Luke…" was all Lorelai could get to come out of her mouth.

"Lorelai." Luke matched her.

"I meant it."

"So did I."

"So you want to move on? I mean…if that's really what you…" Lorelai didn't finish her sentence because Luke's lips were on hers.

When they finally pulled away after that much needed kiss neither could think of what to say next until Luke finally said something.

"Lorelai…I will always love you…but I can't live without you…you do deserve better than me…but I couldn't stand to see that. I would probably die." Luke spoke his heart causing Lorelai to start crying again.

"Oh Luke…" Lorelai said clearly touched as the tears just kept coming. Luke pulled her into a close hug and Lorelai sobbed into his chest. She couldn't believe he was back in her life. She was so happy, she couldn't believe he could ever forgive her. "Luke I'm sorry about Chri-"

"Don't ever speak of that again. I forgave you, remember?" Luke said cutting her off. He couldn't even stand to hear the man's name.

"Of course…and Luke…I want to be in April's life." Lorelai said loosing her grip on his shirt and pulling back a little bit to look him in the face.

"I know. You will be. I promise." Luke said, running a hand through her hair.
