Talking to the moon

Annabeth POV

Annabeth sighed. It had been two weeks since Percy had been missing. Annabeth had never felt lonelier. She continued to walk around camp letting her feet lead the way. She soon found herself in front of the Poseidon cabin. She walked in hoping that she would find her Seaweed Brain boyfriend sleeping. Of course she was let down when instead of being greeted by Percy she was engulfed by the emptiness of the cabin. Obviously everything was still in there but, the happy feeling Annabeth felt when she was in here had left with Percy. Annabeth sat down on Percy's unmade bed. She wrapped Percy's small blue blanket around her. Surprised to find that his blanket smelled like him. She decided that it was time to head back before the harpy's came out. She began walking out of the cabin still wrapped in the blanket. She stepped out of the cabin to be welcomed by the cold night. Glad she had taken Percy's blanket she pulled it tighter around her body. She slowly started walking around the camp wanting to go anywhere but The Athena cabin. Deciding that the Harpy's weren't that big of a deal she walked to the beach. She plopped herself down in the sand. She looked up to see an ocean of stars crowding around the moon. She stares at the full moon just thinking.

" Percy" She whispers to herself. " Why did you leave me?" She stares at the moon as if it could give her an answer.

" Everyone talking about me" She said " And you... us." She remains quiet for a while.

" There's a new guy here at camp." She starts " Turns out he's a son of Jupiter, the Roman version of Zeus." She stops for a second. Preparing herself for what she knows she has to say next.

" He's lost most of his memory." She says quietly staring at the moon. " Which means you may not remember me." She said letting a few salty tears escape her eyes.

" It also means you may not be talking back and I'm just a fool talking to the moon." She says heartbroken that may be her reality.

" I know you are somewhere out there Percy." She said. " And I will search Tartarus and back to find you."

" I just want you back." She said standing up and looking at the moon one last time.

" Goodnight Percy."
