Summary: It's Axel and Roxas' anniversary.

Submitted for AkuRoku Day

"Roxas, do you know what day it is?" Axel asked. The blonde on the couch looked up and shrugged.

"Wednesday?" Axel gave Roxas a look that clearly asked if he was seriously that stupid as he sat at the other end of the couch.

"Yes, smartass, but do you know what day it is?" Roxas bit his lip and looked up at the ceiling, seeming to think. Finally, the blonde shrugged again.

"I give up. What day is it?" Axel blinked.

"… You forgot?" Roxas rolled his eyes.

"No, idiot, I didn't forget." Roxas leaned over and placed a kiss on Axel's lips. "Happy anniversary." Axel shook his head.

"What am I going to do with you?"

Roxas grinned. "Anything you want. I'm yours." The blonde spread his arms wide. Axel hummed and cocked his head to the side, tapping his chin.

"Tempting. But I'll have to pass. For now, anyway." Roxas pouted but shrugged. Axel sighed and continued. "Because I have reservations for us at that new Italian place you wanted to go." Roxas looked at him again, eyes wide.

"Really?"

Axel laughed and opened his arms and Roxas climbed over to him. The redhead closed his arms around the blonde. "Yes, really," Axel said. "I know how much you wanted to go, so I called." Roxas smiled and kissed Axel again.

"Anyone ever tell you you're amazing?"

"Yes. You."

"… Oh. That's it?"

"Pretty much," Axel answered with a shrug.

"That sucks, I'm sorry. You are amazing, most people just can't see it. I love you."

"Love you too. Dinner's at six."

"You spoil me," Roxas said as they pulled up to the restaurant. Axel shrugged and leaned over to kiss the blonde.

"I try to. You deserve this, angel. Now come on." Axel got out of the car and opened the door for Roxas. The blonde rolled his eyes, but allowed Axel to lead him into the restaurant, a hand on his back. After they were seated and had ordered, Roxas finally spoke.

"Wasn't this place expensive?" Axel shrugged and took a sip of wine.

"It's worth it for you. I like making you happy. I thought I made that clear years ago."

"You know I don't like you spending so much money on me."

"I know." Axel took another sip of wine and reached for Roxas' hand. "I got you something." The redhead reached into his pocket with his free hand, opening his fist to show Roxas the necklace in his hand. A red crystal heart was hanging from a thin silver chain. Roxas bit his lip.

"Axel…" The redhead raised Roxas' hand and kissed it. "How did you…?"

"I saw you looking at it when we went to get your ring fixed."

"But it was so expensive…"

"Rox, I'd spend a million dollars to make you smile. Don't you like it?"

"I love it, but…" Roxas looked down at the table. Axel pulled his hand away and placed both his hands on Roxas' face, tilting the blonde's head up to look at him. Roxas complied with the movement but kept his eyes down.

"Look at me." Blue eyes locked on to green. "You're worth every penny I spent on that necklace, Roxas. I love you and I want you to be happy. You wanted that necklace, so I bought it." Roxas bit his lip again and hesitantly reached for the necklace in axel's hand, clasping it around his neck and smiling.

"Thank you." Their food came then, and Axel reached for Roxas' hand again as he ate. They were both silent having said all they felt they needed to say.

And that's the end for now because it's past 9 o clock and I want to write Nobodies. Actually, that's the fic that necklace is originally from… but I doubt Nobodies will ever be posted.

So yeah… what happened after this, you may ask? You're fiction readers. Use your imaginations.
