Antonio narrows his eyes at Arthur as he holds on to the gun in his hand that is hidden behind his back. Arthur face is emotionless and, just as Antonio, he hides something behind his back. What could be more suspicious looking than that? Antonio thinks of what to do next as Arthur is thinking about how to do it the right way. He clenches the object in his hand and feels his heart speed up. He takes a deep breath.

It's now or never.

"Um, Antonio I-" A phone rings. Antonio keeps his eyes on Arthur as he reaches into his pocket to answer his ringing phone.

He answers by just saying his name, voice cold. A loud voice can be heard from the other side of the line. It demands him to come home and make him food. Lovino is the one the voice belongs to. Antonio smiles gently as he tells Lovino that he will be home as soon as possible. Lovino mutters a 'bastard' and a 'ciao', then hangs up. Antonio removes the phone from his ear and smiles at it before putting it back in his pocket. The smile only lingers for a moment or two before disappearing. His frown returns and he, once again, is narrowing his eyes at Arthur. There is something left. Something that did not disappear along with the smile.

Happiness.

Arthur is jealous. Jealous of Lovino who gets all the attention from Antonio. He wants attention too. Arthur gathers up courage to speak again.

"Antonio..." He slowly pulls the object form behind his back into view. "I-I lov-" A gun shot rings out. A moment Arthur hits the ground in a 'thump'. Both he and Antonio is surprised. Arthur did not expect being shot and Antonio did not expect his reflexes were that fast. Arthur lies in the ground, unable to move.

He cannot feel anything below the chest, where he got shot.

Antonio stands there for a few moments before running over to where Arthur has fallen. He shouts and screams. He asks if he is okay, but Arthur does not hear anything but a hysterical blurred voice. He looks up at Antonio and smiles.

"I wish you would smile that way when you speak with me." His last words rang. He let himself fall back and drown in darkness. Antonio were on his knees with Arthur's head in his lap. He looks down at the face of a dead man, of Arthur, and sees small drops hitting his face. Antonio's first thought is that it is raining. He looks up to the sky and sees the sun looking back at him, no cloud could be seen. He touches his face and realizes that he is crying. He lets his head hang down as he curses his stupidity. After a while of grieving his eyes widen. He does not want to be a killer, he does not want to be the one being responsible of the death of Arthur Kirkland.

His rival, but also his friend.

He desperately searches for the weapon Arthur was hiding behind his back. He could not find one. But what he did find was even worse. A bouquet full of red roses and a purple card with a heart on it.

Be my valentine.
