Broken
Many days have passed,
Since I saw you last.
Through the bitter years,
I have shed many tears.
With your shadow caste),
I waned in the past.
Hoping you would return,
And say the words for which I yearned.
Knowing I was true,
And that I still loved you.
You broke my heart,
And then I fell apart.
With all my hopes dashed,
My heart felt like it was slashed.
The ground was rumbling,
As my world was crumbling.
My love was something you disdained,
And it was if my heart could only feel extreme pain.
Then you were gone,
And I started to move on.
Naruto made me cheerful,
And soon I was no longer tearful.
Naruto and I soon felt a connection,
And held each others' affection.
I couldn't help but marry him,
And our life thereafter was never grim.
When you came home,
You found that you were alone,
And that we'd all gone on our own.
When I died,
I watched as you cried.
Sad as I may be,
I knew you never loved me.
The wounds were never mended,
And with that our story ended.
