AN: Ok, this was supposed to be Bones fanfiction however that obviously didn't go well. This is before the team found out about Foreman and Thirteen.
Thirteen/Kutner, slight Thirteen/Foreman but not really in a good way. One-shot.
Disclaimer: If I owned House I would be writing this to mess with your head. I am not writing this to mess with your head. I am writing this for some other reason.
Remy Hadley sat on the roof of the hospital with her feet dangling off the edge. She knew House was looking for her. He probably assumed she was with Foreman. Remy laughed a little at that thought.
She looked down at all the cars going by. All she had to do was move an inch or two and she'd be down there. All she had to do was jump in surprise when somebody opened the door and realized she was up here.
This wasn't how she'd kill herself, pills would be easier. She was a doctor after all.
She looked at her watch, everyone else should be arriving soon. She stayed the whole night. She just didn't feel like going home. Foreman could find her there. She didn't really want to be found.
The rational part of her pointed out that he could find her here too. After all he did work with her. But he wouldn't think to look on the roof. He knew she didn't really like heights. Or at least that's what she told him.
She moved her feet so they were back on the ledge. Her back was leaning against the wall.
Looking down she could see Kutner parking. He looked all around when he got out of the car, like he was expecting House to jump out and trip him. That was definitely something House would do.
Kutner looked up squinting. Almost like he could see her. Then he turned and walked into the hospital.
Remy sighed and closed her eyes slightly.
Five minutes later she heard the sounds of footsteps bounding up the stairs the led to the roof. She groaned slightly. Someone knew she was up here.
She looked over at the door as it opened. Kutner.
He had two coffees in his hands. He handed one to her.
"I thought you might be able to use some company up here" He said sitting down next to her. His back facing the edge.
Remy just sipped her coffee.
"So who are you avoiding, House or Foreman?"
Remy looked up.
"Why would I be avoiding Foreman?"
Kutner shrugged.
"So it's House then?"
Remy shook her head.
"Both of them. House is just House. Foreman won't leave me alone. He seems to think that just because I kissed him I want something more. I don't. I don't like him. He's an arrogant asshole."
Kutner laughed.
"You kissed Foreman?"
Thirteen nodded.
"If you don't like him, why kiss him?"
"I'm not sure. It was Christmas."
"Drink too much eggnog?" Remy smiled then laughed. She hadn't smiled much since she found out she was dying. Kutner could make her laugh.
"Can we not talk about Foreman? I'm avoiding him for reasons."
"Sure. Think House slept with Cameron?"
Remy looked at him. He shrugged.
"Just trying to change the subject." Remy laughed. She swung her legs so she was facing the same way that he was.
Kutner was staring at her.
"What?" she asked.
"You were laughing. You don't laugh much"
"I laugh enough. Just not when I'm supposed to be working. I try to separate my personal and professional lives"
"I'm not entirety sure that's possible when you work for House"
Remy laughed again.
"I like hearing you laugh"
"Kutner, are you trying to flirt with me?"
"Maybe"
Remy smiled.
"You are aware that technically I'm dating Foreman?"
"You don't like him" He moved a little closer to her.
"True" She leaned in a little and their lips met.
It was several minutes before she pulled away.
"Wow" he said.
Remy couldn't keep the smile on her face.
AN: Yeah, sorry if the ending sucks. Sorry if anything is OOC. I was rushing to finish this because I have to go watching something in less than 10 minutes and I want to post this tonight. Also sorry about any grammatical errors.
