Alex's Summer Accident.

It was nearing the end of a so-called "BBO summers day" and the sun, a mere semi-circle low in the evening sky, was casting an orangey red glow on the ground. Despite the fact that the Sun's heat was weakening every moment I could still feel the heat radiating from the fireball. After a relatively long time in the garden I decided to go inside for a cool, refreshing , drink. A few minutes later while I was watching the TV I was taken aback by the piercing, ringing of the doorbell. For a few moments I just sat there, hoping the remainder of my family who were sitting in the garden would hear the doorbell. Unfortunately for me they didn't and, unwillingly I stood up and trudged over to the front door. I opened the door as slowly as possible and was greeted by my cousin who lived just across the road and had decided to come round to play football. I remember not wanting to play football at all but, reluctantly I agreed. Little did I know that this would be the entirely wrong choice.

As we made our way to the back door we were met by my mum who said a quick hello and offered him a drink. It was an offer which he had to think about for a few moments before hesitantly declining. Just as my cousin was lining up his shot, my next door neighbour, a frail old lady, decided to put her washing out. My cousin hit the ball as hard as he could in a matter of seconds it had ricochet off of the goalpost and hit her straight in her face. The force of the shot knocked her over instantly. Once I had turned round to look at my cousin he was charging through the back door. It wasn't long before my parents noticed what had happened and came running out. My dad climbed over the wall to help her up and my mum led me inside. She was fuming but I kept insisting it wasn't me and that my cousin was the culprit. I was not believed and I felt extremely mad, and to this day I'm sure they still think I did it. My name is Alex Rider. This is my summer holiday. Then I shot the old bitch and gave her what she deserved. Blad.
