I Don't Own Creepypasta
Intro
Hum a Tune
Staring down at the pretty blue light, my eyes were skimming through the text. Taking in the words, what could they have possible meant by all this. To analyze a work is rather hard to be honest, looking through it, taking in the important, and storing the less important to later connect the dots. It was late, my mom was still at work, so I normally took this time to read what I could from a website called 'Creepypasta'. Not much to say about it, but by now I have a favorite.
From my research, he goes by a lot of name, some suggesting he was once worshiped. People really do come up with some stupid things. I sighed as he looked at the file of missing people in town. I was always one for mysteries, mostly for the harder ones that not even the police could crack. After some research online, and the library I have found that a lot of kids have went missing around here. Connecting the dots, it seems it's once every 3 to 4 months. Not just that, but the victim is always a child or teenager, ranging from the age of 8 to 17. Sometimes local teens would go into the forest to have fun. Some never came back out.
I frowned in thought, my gray eyes narrowed at the webpage, of course you couldn't believe in everything on the internet. But, from what they said the drawing were, this 'Slenderman' seems like the only logical person. Either it's a man dressed as him, or these 'legends' have some truth behind them. It was too early to tell, but, perhaps a daytime search in the forest would do some good, but I'll have to be ready for anything.
I nodded to myself firmly, tomorrow would be the best time, my thanksgiving break starts then. Also, my mom would be out again for the week, not like I minded I did care about her. However, since father died she has distanced herself form me, I guess I bring up to many memories. Shrugging I looked at my clock, dang past midnight. Sighing to myself, I brushed my dark red hair out of my eyes and got up to use the rest room.
My mind wandered back to the files, 'Its oblivious the police wanted this to be an open and shut case, and didn't look too far into it. By calming the public they could easily slip the murder under the rug, and no one else would bring it back up, or would go on by a false conviction.' I thought to myself.
"But, why?" I said out loud, sighing I washed my face off, no use thinking about it too much before bed. I know that something is bound to come after my hunt in the forest. I have a good feeling that it will give me more to go on. Nodding, I walked back into my room and turned off my laptop and the light. Storing my files away, I looked out the window.
One street lamp flicking lightly, and a darken road with the forest close by my house. Yes I was very well informed about how it stalks you if you read too much about it. That is precisely why I did look outside. Though I'm not like a lot like my mom and her logical outlook on life. I just know that there is a reason for all this, and supernatural or not, I know the answer is there, and there is a way to stop it.
I take one look at the blue and black sky, before yawning and closing the curtains. I hummed a tune from a song in my mind. Not sure of the name, but it was catchy, as I crawled into bed and covered up. Best rest up, it's a big day tomorrow after all.
With that, I closed my eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.
