Yo! Nessie-san again, and just a warning, supreme fluff sadness awaits all who read this fic. It made me cry when I wrote it...Although that may have been because I saw a really sad video on YouTube with this poem on it...That's what inspired me to write this, by the way ^-^ That poem. So, I hope you guys like this fic, and...DISCLAIMER, PLEASE, RUKA-SAMA!
Ruka-sama: Nessie-chan, please stop calling me "sama." Just Ruka is fine.
Nessie: No, you're Ruka-sama. Disclaimer please.
Ruka-sama: Fine, whatever. Nessie-chan does not own Gakuen Alice. Tachibana Higuchi-sensei does. Nessie-chan also does not own the poem recited at the beginning of the fic. That is (Nessie-chan thinks) the property of Tana-sama (that's her screen name) on YouTube. If you wish to see it, he/she made an AMV with the poem in it. It is wonderful.
Nessie: Thank you, Ruka-sama. Now, without further ado:
Butterflies
A Gakuen Alice Drabble
Hey, Natsume…let's become butterflies…so we could fly away…
I'll tell you stories - every day - about humans. About how they live...how they love...how they're always waiting for something...always looking for someone…and how they cry…
Together we'll understand why…
Why do we hate? What happens when we die?
But we'd only be able to read stories...about pain and happiness, in this small, empty world…
Hey...let's become butterflies?
So we could understand what it is...to live…
I read that somewhere, once...before I came to the Academy. Or, well, something like that, at least. I read it before I understood what it meant. Before I could understand the feelings of the writer. Before I met you, Natsume. And before I met Ruka, Inchou, Permy, even before I met Hotaru.
I feel so far away from all of you now. Are you doing well? I hope so...I hope the rest of you are okay, while I'm gone...especially you, Natsume. I hope what happened between us...hasn't changed.
I hope you're okay, without me there to keep you straight.
I hope Persona doesn't work you too hard, or you'll be joining me soon.
Hey, Natsume, let's become butterflies...in our next life...
