The explosion from the beam of energy reflected of Theal's MagiTek armor. The village burned with brilliance illuminating the darkness of night. People were yelling and running in every direction. Theal watched in disgust as a mother and her child were instantly incinerated by a MagiTek soldier. Is this really what I've always wanted? To pillage and kill everything in sight? He swallowed hard. The cries of anguish and pain echoed in Theals ears. This was his first "mission" after four years of training and preparation. The key to the Empire's success was the MagiTek suits of armor used. The destructive force of these machines were amazing. It seemed as though the Empire wanted to recreate the War of Magi.... Theal watched as a body collapsed in a crumpled heap onto the ground. He heard the pilot who had just shot the civilian. "Damn peasants! Won't bow to the Empire, eh? Well that'll teach yeh!" Theal swallowed. I can't believe that I'm bowing to the Empire! Theal's brow furled in anger. "You bastard!" he yelled! He turned to the pilot next to him and shot. The suit of armor exploded. The pilot inside had been fried to a smoldering cinder. Justice! Theal thought to himself. He then turned to the other pilots and began shooting. Suit after suit of armor exploded killing the pilots almost instantly. That'll teach yeh, you bloody murderers! I'd better get going before they send for backup! Theal checked the fuel, Good, still at full, I haven't done much with it yet anyway. He turned from the village and made his towards the forest up ahead. He pushed a lever in his MagiTek suit. The machine lurched and then started moving at quite a rapid pace. The ground next to Theal exploded into flames. Damn! He whirled the suit around to find Kefka and some other woman in MagiTek armor. Oh no! That's that witch everyone's been talking about! She wiped out 50 of our best soldiers in a matter of minutes! "Well, well, well. It seems that the new recruit has a conscious. Or had a conscious rather." laughed Kefka. He turned to the woman. "Destroy him, my dear." Kefka then turned and made his way back to the village. Theal thought to himself, Oh great! What am I gonna do!? Theal brought his MagiTek suit back a step. He felt it lurch backward. He peered around his shoulder. There's a cliff there? I would never have know. He looked back at the woman. She was preparing a shot and he knew it. Here goes nothin', he thought to himself. He slammed the lever back. The machine tumbled over the cliff with Theal in it just before the woman shot him. The large metal suit fell down to the bottom of the cliff. Aghh! Damn..... and that was the last thing Theal remembered.
