Disclaimer: I own nothing else except the personality of my own character. Still, I wouldn't mind if Gravity suddenly decided to hand me over the ownership of couple of their monsters.
A/N: This is just a small drabble I came up with while I was doing something completely random. I decided to abuse one of my own characters this time.
Warnings: None.
Review(s):Yes, thank you very much. I'd like to get those.
"You can run, but you can't hide..."
Water was dripping somewhere – it reminded her of the ancient torture methods she had once read about. Not that she was sane anymore, no one sane would come over here. Her sanity actually was one of the latest things she had lost, but one of the things she didn't really care about to begin with. She was just tired and fed up with everything this world thought it could offer.
"I'm not trying to hide," she replied and laughed quietly.
"You're cloaking."
"You can see that, so I wouldn't call this hiding."
"You should leave. Right now."
"No thank you, I'm perfectly fine with being here."
"If you spend even a mere minute here, you won't be fine. You know that."
"I know."
"You also want to drag that innocent, unborn child with you then?"
"I don't care."
"You should."
The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress was completely damp. Yet she chose to sit on it. A whitesmith passed the room as if there was nothing in there and this made her smile a bit. So, not every single thing here could see through her cloaking.
"I could drag you out of that cloaking, you know..."
"Yes, I know. Go ahead, do it. See if I care," she replied in a quiet voice, still smiling. She honestly didn't care – she knew it was wrong to think like that, like she had nothing to lose when the reality wasn't like that. She had a lot to lose. She simply chose to look away from those things, closing her eyes in the process.
"Where's that... 'friend' of yours you had with you the last time...?"
"I don't know and I don't care," she replied in a neutral voice. "I don't want to be saved."
"I didn't teach you to think like this. Only that is enough reason for me to kill you."
"We don't need reasons to kill and you know that. I've been watching you two going on and on, discussing about completely pointless things for too long. She's an intruder, she needs to die."
"She will eventually, if she won't run away soon."
"She won't have any legs she can run with after a couple of seconds!"
"Leave us!"
"Fine. But when I come back – and I will – it's better for her that she's already dead."
"Well, he was a charmer," she commented as a slight smirk danced on her lips. She shifted a bit on the bed – it was uncomfortable, but she wasn't able to do anything about that.
"Leave."
"No."
"It wasn't a wish. It was an order."
"And I refuse to obey it." As soon as she had finished saying her sentence, she could feel cold blades on her throat. "Oh. Are you finally going to grant me my wish?"
"I'll tell you this only once more. Leave. Now."
The female assassin cross merely smiled. "No. Do it – cut me open. You know you want to." Charcoal colored eyes challenged a pair of crimson ones. "Trust me, I have absolutely nothing to lose anymore."
"You might not, but he does have. Don't make him go through the same you did."
The air was nearly freezing in the cell and she couldn't see anyone anymore. The last words crossed her mind again.
"Don't make him go through the same you did."
