1A short valentines day oneshot.

The bridge had been a very special place to her over the past year. It was where she had always met up with team seven, and where she always had a few moments alone with Sasuke before her sensei and Naruto showed up late like they always did.

This was the spot, that on some nights, where she waited for Sasuke to come home. She had waited in the rain, snow, the bitter cold, she was even ready to face the hells of fire on the bridge if there was a chance Sasuke would come back. She had waited countless hoursstaring into the dark hoping to see his figure emerging from the shadows. It never had, and she realized she was a fool to ever think it would.

Even if he did come home, despite his lust for power that only Orichimaru seemed able to quench, he was never going to be interested in her. He made his views on her clear, especially the night he left, when he knocked her out and left her outside regardless of all that could have happened to her.

A tear slid down her soft porcelain skin and dripped down onto the stone floor of the bridge. Her hand slowly spiraled the rose onto the floor, the tribute to the spot she had so many memories of her love in. She ignored her surroundings for a minute falling to her knees with the rose and submerging herself in a series of silent sobs.

Strong arms around her stomach pulled her out of her wallowing, as she suddenly felt sheltered from the horrors and sorrows of the world. Her tears ceased and all she was left with was a slight buzzing feeling every time her mind dwelled on the subject of her former teammate turned traitor.

She semi turned to see spiky white hair obscuring her vision. The air behind her lifted her from the ground, her legs suddenly forced to hold their own. She was sure that nobody could see them in the dark on night, the very last few minutes of the romantic holiday spent holding those they cared for close. She allowed herself to pull back from the hug and look eye to eye at her sensei.

"Sensei?" She asked softly tears still slowly dripping down her cheeks as she stood in the darkness. He made a quiet noise which sounded to Sakura like a small 'uh-huh' and she continued, "Why are you here Kakashi-Sensei?"

"Nobody needs to be alone on valentines day." His answer was plain but it warmed her heart. He cared about her and she suddenly felt a little warmer inside. She felt herself being pulled into another hug and this time she did not pull back, instead she allowed herself to fall into the hug completely. She was extremely glad she didn't have to spend another valentines day alone, even if the man she was with wasn't her Sasuke she felt safe and loved in his arms.

They stood there just holding each other well past the midnight hour, neither saying a word. Though every minute in his arms made her want to leave even less, as they spread the comfort to every inch of her body. She realized then theat this was the best way to spend her valentines day and she couldn't help but think that it could have only been any better if Sasuke had come home, and even if he did she wasn't sure she cared anymore.

AN: ok make what you will of it, I have serious writers block on my original works and I'm trying to break it by writing crappy fanfiction. A review of what you thought , ( to help improve my technique) or a review on how to break writers block would be appreciaated.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

Much love CrashAKAValerie
