Wow, I'm surprised I wrote another story so soon! I guess procrastination from school work really does help. Thanks for everyone that has read my other stories; I really appreciate all the awesome feedback!

I'm blue. I'm fuzzy. I make jokes about how the chicks love the fuzzy dude, but really humor is my shield. I've always been this way, and sometimes I just want to be normal. When I was given the image inducer, it was like a blessing bestowed upon a demon. I could finally look like everybody else, why would I turn that away. Why would I want to look like a fuzzy blue freak? Day in and day out I have to accept that the real me is not ready for society. People think that society would not accept me, and I agree. The real reason is because I am not ready for society to judge me. I fit in now, although I am a mutant, I am normal looking. I am only normal looking with my image inducer.
I joke because I am truly insecure. Everyone has body image issues, more so for me since I am beyond what society dictates as normal. I really feel that if the day comes that I am comfortable in my own skin it will be a day far in the future. I am protected by my image inducer. It's like a secret identity. It keeps me safe. I don't have to see the pain and disgust for my image when I have it on. I can be a typical teenager. I can enjoy what I can of life. I am apart of something larger than anyone can imagine.
What is an image? How does one perceive their self? Some people see totally different people in the mirror when they look at it. People hate themselves for how they look, or are narcissistic. The image inducer portrays a teenager, but underneath that I am blue and fuzzy. Underneath the blue fuzz is a person that wants so bad to be accepted. What do I see when I look at myself? I see two people. I see a typical teenage guy. I also see a sorrowful blue fuzzy creature that doesn't really belong.
