On a quite hallway a sound of two steps can be heard, one is running away, the other one is chasing the first. "Wait, Lacus!" Athrun grabbed Lacus arm back down only to see her tears stained eyes.
"Let me go…Let me go!" Lacus cried out repeatedly as she tries to pry Athrun's grip away on her hand but still no avail he was excessively strong for her. "Lacus let me explain I don't betray you! Believe me I do not know why she's here and—" Athrun tried to explain but Lacus did not let him finish when she slapped Athrun making him face his side bangs covering his eyes.
Lacus's tears keep on falling on her delicate face. "Lacus, It's not what you think I—" Athrun tried to explain
"Isn't giving you my all not enough?" Lacus said trying to make her voice strong but deep inside her, heart already shattered into million pieces and all she wanted to do is to cry her heart out.
Silence answered Lacus, the truth is Athrun cannot find the words to answer her, but deep down his heart he really love Lacus he never intended to hurt her like this… why does this have to happen between us? Why?
Athrun can't find a words to say..
Not until Lacus decided to broke the silence she smiled bitterly, "I see…" Lacus said and by that, she readied herself to go.— to let go of him…
She wanted to run from this place, away from him. Athrun, her first love and her first heart ache, the man she eventually marrying…
"No, Lacus don't go! I… I love you.' Athrun said pleadingly while holding her hand.
"Damn, he sounds so fucking sincere…"

However, Lacus kept herself composed deciding not to believe his words. 'I believe him once, but still he hurts me and I will not let him to hurt me anymore."
"Lacus please believe me!" Athrun said desperately as he getting anxious that his fiancée for almost five years will just end their relationship because of what she saw.
"No, don't tell me that Athrun! You don't love me…I had enough…" Lacus said as her bangs covering her eyes.
"I will let you go.."
"No, don't Lacus! I love you! Please give me another chance.." Athrun tried to hug Lacus but she avoided it.
Lacus slowly looked up at Athrun revealing her puffy red eyes, "Let's break up…I love you Athrun but—"
"Good Bye.."

Her last words were like a sharp knife stabbing him painfully Athrun can feel his heart shattering into million pieces. Lacus is his first, the one and only girl who made him so special, The girl of his dreams, his love, his future wife, his true love was gone forever in his life.
"Please give one favor…please don't follow me.." then with that Lacus walked away from him out of his sight and out of his life…
Athrun hit the wall hard with his right fist started to bleed, blood pouring down on it.
"Lacus is gone…were finished…were done…"
Those words kept playing and playing inside his head like a tape recorder…
Athrun shouted in agony
