Don't hide your feelings
Her light feet softly moved over the hard stone floor. Her eyes shone almost as much as her special ring when she threw her head back. She danced in perfect grace. When she lifted her hand, her robes floated with it. A bluish light surrounded her. Her dance amazed him. He stared at the elegance of her refreshing dance. It washed away his fatigue like leaves in the autumn wind. "Thank you, Ninian," he said, a little sad the dance was over. This meant she had to leave. She bowed lightly. "I have to go now, Lord Eliwood," she replied, looking to the ground to hide her own sadness.
He didn't want to let her go. She didn't want to go either, but she had no choice. Could he let her go? He had to, he knew that. But he would give a fortune to have her here with him just a little longer. She rose and already set the first step in direction of the next exhausted ally. They were in the rear, where no enemies would ever come. All fighters came there when they where fatigued. Here, they could rest, be refreshed by Ninian or healed by Serra.

Only half realizing what he did, he hurried forward and took her hand in his own. Ninian didn't try to free her hand. She just waited for what would happen. He stroked the palm of her hand. "L-Lord Eliwood…" she stuttered in surprise. "Please, just call me Eliwood." "Eliwood…" she said calmer. She turned to him, blushing, and placed her left hand on his shoulder. He laid his hands on her upper arms. She felt his warm, strong hands on her bare arms. It was cold, but his touch warmed her.
They came closer to each other. Their noses came so close that they almost touched. They looked deep into each other's eyes. For some time, they said nothing. "You're so beautiful, Ninian," Eliwood then whispered in his softest voice. "Eliwood…" She repeated his name because it was the only thing she brought out. She leaned her head on his chest and embraced him. She now felt his full warmth and heard the beat of his heart. He wrapped his own arms over her shoulders and on her back. It felt like time had stopped, like a second was a minute and a minute was an hour. Or maybe it was what they wanted.
After some time, she looked up to his face. He looked down, and their eyes met. She stood on her toes and he slightly bowed forward. Like a wall cutting them off from everything else, they only saw each other. She came up to him, he came down to her. They closed their eyes. Their lips touched lightly and their whole body was suddenly filled with warmth. The cold was now just a tiny shadow somewhere far away. It was like their hearts where on fire and drove it away. They wanted this moment to last forever. They both where aware that it wasn't possible. So they took all the time they had, they didn't move and took pleasure in the moment, they tried to fight against the law of nature, the time.
