Hope He's Dreaming of Me

Secret relationship fluff for these babies. Just a short, sweet tribute to the episode with Eddie where everyone was watching Chandler sleep. And also, the episode where my poor boy was longing for Kathy and slept at Monica and Rachel's apartment. You know, I used to like Kathy before she cheated on both Joey and Chandler. My bad, I'm rambling again.

She had always known how adorable Chandler was when he was fast asleep, but somehow waking up tucked between his arms made him all the cuter.

Though the circumstances could not have been more different, every time they fell asleep together in one of their bedrooms, she was reminded of that one night almost a year ago by now when she was sick and Chandler was heartsick.

The knock on the door was like a gun shot in the otherwise quiet night as Monica climbed out of bed with a groan to answer the door, dragging her blanket along with her. Yanking open the door, there stood Chandler, looking like someone had ripped his heart out. "Can I sleep on your couch tonight?" he whispered, and Monica instantly nodded, wrapping her arm around him. "You can sleep in my bed if you want," she replied, "you know it's a lot more comfortable than the couch." His head slightly bobbed up and down as the pair headed towards the bedroom. He climbed in first, snuggling beneath his own blanket. Monica clambered in the bed next, and examined his poor, heartbroken face. "Everything is going to be all right. You know that, right?" He looked up at her, shrugging. "Yep. Tons of women have chosen me over Joey, the Magnet. Just a regular Tuesday night." She rolled her eyes. "Fine. I don't know that. But even if she doesn't end up with you, you're going to find someone else. You are sweet, smart and a little cute. But anyone can see that Kathy likes you. It's really just a win-win situation." His face brightened up just a little as he drifted off to sleep. "I really love you, Mon," he muttered before sinking into the depths of sleep. Smiling slightly, she found his hand beneath the blanket and gently squeezed it before falling asleep herself.

It was a simple moment, but her heart was uplifted, just the thought of Chandler's crooked grin that she oh, so loved to see.

The faint light streaming in from his window had woken Monica up, giving her the perfect opportunity to stare at how her boyfriend's face was smushed slightly into the pillow as he hugged her as close as physically possible to him.

With a smile, Monica slowly rose out of the bed, very careful not to wake Chandler.

He rolled over in his sleep but didn't stir.

She quietly pulled on her clothes, pulling her shirt from the lamp where Chandler had tossed it the previous night.

After getting dressed, she paused by the other side of the bed and crouched down beside him.

"I love you too, Chan," she whispered, brushing his hair off his forehead and kissing his temple.

A smile spread over Chandler's face as he slept. It was obvious he was having an absolutely wonderful dream.

Monica opened the door and silently crept out of the apartment, making certain not to make noise as to not wake Joey.

Her mind quickly catalogued everything she had to do for the day ahead.

She had to order a new pot from the brand-new kitchen ware store, comfort Ross about the wife who wanted nothing to do with him and call her boss to request the day of Joey's new play off.

Even though her mind was jammed full of thoughts, only one lingered.

I hope he's dreaming of me.

I need to stop writing Friends one-shots, lol. I'll probably have a multi-chapter fic coming soon, guys. Please review!
